  • What's your favorite MMO role?

Wow, I could have sworn I'd replied to this thread not so long ago, but I see that the most recent post is April 30th, so, I guess I could not have.  Well, I'll just post again. :p

Can't see the choices, something odd on my browser or the site or something?  So I'll just say ranger type.  DPS from a distance. If there is not a ranger class, some mage class with spells from a ways away.  Zap the enemies before they can zap me.  :)

  • Were done.

    Here's how it is:
MMOs are too expensive to make.

Immersion is closely tied to story/lore in my case. If a game has a compelling world and a strong storyline, I'll get lost in it.

I remember being in the middle of my Dragon Age: Inquisition play through. Took a break to go for a quick McDonalds, no time to waste on cooking when the fate of the world is in question. As I'm waiting in the queue, my mind is thinking who else in the fast food joint to try recruit into my warband, after all, the threat we are facing is no joke. Then I realised this is McDonalds and I'm in the real world.
Had pretty much the same experience during my first play-through of Morrowind, once the main quest of kicked into high gear. Scary.

  • Poll: Would you play a robot/droid character?

I like my character to look sexy, so... not interested in playing a robot-looking character.

Well, unless we're talking the Erin Gray situation as described by Immodium. Dayum, she was hot back in the day. ;)

  • MMO for Linux with good community?

Some browser games work, provided you have shockwave and java and flash and whatever on one's browser. Some don't, though they should: hey Eldevin, I'm looking at you. :(

Rysome (sp?) in theory has a native Linux version. I never tried it because the combat & movement scheme would bother me.

As another Linux user, I also have an interested in this matter and would be curious as to the opinions of others.
