  • Free Weekend Incoming; Check Out the All Heroes & Game Modes - Overwatch - MMORPG.com

7 seasons there, game keeps me there like junkie, so if someone still not sure to buy it, use that free weekend to confirm that this game is a gem!

Seriously this game basically singlehandedly restored my faith that online games can still be fun and well made.

  • I am going to buy a new game!

Overwatch is possibly the best online game ever made.  I came into it with no fps experience and have enjoyed it for over 500 hours with no end in sight.  My aim still sucks compared to CS-vets, but there is plenty of room to have fun even if you can't aim great.

I know it doesn't fit your RPG tendencies, but you said you're looking for a new experience.

Personally, I love getting drunk and doing competitive in Overwatch.  It's intense and funny as hell.

  • Why I quit WoW - "The Consequences of Reducing the Skill Gap"

It seems weird they're pushing for more casual gameplay.  I suspect the reason is they've lost some millions of subs (still have many, but still, it's a loss), and they figure the only way to recoup them is to entice casuals.

I don't see that happening.  WoW is an old game with like 10 expansions.  Yeah people can buy max level characters now, but what kind of casual would really want to do that?  They'd rather start a new game than an old one with dated graphics.

It's also quite possible they looked at WildStar and declared catering to raiders/hardcore is out of vogue.  I don't think that's an accurate assessment, especially with loyal customers that have put in a decade of subs into your game.  They want to be challenged.

  • Worth Play?

Note that the "end-game grinding" is unlike any other MMORPG.  There are no dungeons or group content worth doing.  You just grind on mobs by yourself forever.  Why?  So you can keep doing it.

Eh, it's "progressing your character" in whatever way you choose. Yes, you can grind endless to chase the next level, or you can chase the life skill rankings. Or you can do whatever seems like fun to you, such as building an Epheria Sailboat and continuing to pimp it out.

The OP said he doesn't like leveling and appeared to like end-game content.  I was just informing him there is no end-game content in Black Desert, which I think deserves noting since it's incredibly unusual for an MMORPG.
