These guys don't realize how many people leave the game over stuff like this. CCP and Eve are not doing particularly well as of late and the last thing they need is more players abandoning ship.
Irrelevant news. EVE isn't dying anymore - it's actually dead to me after "walking in stations" removal. The only reason to login I can see now is to give away my ~300B worth PLEXes and cash stash ($3k equivalent, 10-15 supercarrier or 4-5 titan hulls) - to make the company pay on their obligations. Most likely I'll do it around new year celebration.
Agreed. They should never have compromised their vision for what the game would've become due to a bunch of whiny idiots. The 'captain's quarters' thing was supposed to be the first small step toward a larger, more fully realized and immersive universe, but the player base was (and still is) too narrow-minded to understand that. Apparently slideshow fleet battles and gate camping are more important to them.
Better moon mining,
Really, that's what the player base was clamouring for more of?
I am not saying the developers are lying. i am saying it is not the developers estimates in the first place.MaxBacon said:Much discussion on Facial Tracking being feature creep; though checking back into 2013 for a min... 0:39:
I actually had no idea they were already tinkering with facial tracking that early on, but it shows this is not something they just came up with now and was to happen since the early days. That is your opinion. The production report lying on internal estimates for work based on aggressive schedule (you can read about it to understand it), you also can't be ignorant to the caveats in that page to make such claim, they very specifically explain it. So I will not, I have a decent knowledge of how this works myself to understand this flow (considering caveats, the reality of aggressive schedules, the reality that it does not account for the bug-fixing process in internals yet the time to complete code and merge with main branch and the reality of the scope increase of the build with some new things added to it) and unless you want to imply the developers are all in a conspiracy to lie when they claim those were the dates they work with internally, think of it whatever you want but don't come demanding me to do something based on your opinion of something. What we saw is at least 2-3 months away from a deliverable, if not more.
The "open backlog" is a lie. A marketing tool which obviously have no connection to the real world behind the scenes. Stop defending it. Just stop.
Yeah, it actually looks nice. As a concept at least. Lets see them make it actually work for real in playable form.MaxBacon said:
What was shown of 3.0 is looking great, they could have focused more in finishing the mission and getting the payout but it seems the thing derailed when that rover exploded on the Idris ramp gg
