So EA games loses against the playerbase and now every other company decides "lets put a loot box and then pull it out early to show that we are better than EA games and listen to our players"
Word of Advice..
Look at the signs..
Westerners have revolved and won out against this kind of system to the point EAs stunt and the player reaction reached major newspapers across North America and Europe, along with Major Television Networks. There were even software developers airing "anti-loot box" commercials to show that they aren't as low as EA games...
Trion Worlds being based in California..
Shame on you for trying to see if Westerners would succumb to the very same pay-for-everything system in the F2P model that Easterners willingly give up everything for... Shame on you!
My advice to you is simply
If you want to prove you are better,
Don't even think about including it in the game to begin with....
@MrMelGibson FFVI is one of my favorites, along with Chrono Trigger. :P I spent too much time being a cheapskate in FF VI and using Wall Rings + Invisibility on 80% of the enemies in the World of Ruin.
Thank you for all the responses so far. I've read them all! Keep them coming!
My fallback video game has been Civilization V for a long time.
What I love most about the game is that it has that Fresh-Game/New-Game feel each start we load a new map. The Exploration is amazing in both... playing the game, as well as curiosity causing players to learn about the leaders and civilizations they play as.
