  • Do you finish games ?

I play mmorpgs. They are never finished until the game is cancelled or no further content is being made for them. And even then, there are so many things to do that unless you define "finished" very narrowly, there is almost always something else to do.

  • How did you come up with your avatar/forum name and most pathetic in-game name you used?

I believe my original account on this website was created back in my SWG days under another name. But I forgot the password and no longer have the e-mail account. So that one is toast.

This account was created back when I was playing World of Warcraft, so I used the name Amathe, which was my main character in WoW at the time (a female character).

There is no story behind Amathe. It was just a name that sounded cool to me at the time.

  • What's considered hard combat?

There are so many factors.  Too numerous to list. Some PvE examples would be:

The likelihood of defeating an adversary.

    Manual dexterity needed.

Amount of thought required to succeed (parrying an attack and then reposting, for instance. Ducking a head shot, Jumping to avoid a leg sweep. And so on.

The amount of time you have to make decisions.

The amount of time to complete the overall encounter before, say, an enrage.

A mob's resistance to your attacks.

    A mob's total health.

    A mob's special attacks.

  • EQ1 Vets Get in Here

My concern is that you can't just add up a list of EQ-like features (corpse runs, no GPS map, no NPC quest indicators, etc.) and "presto" produce something akin to Everquest.

That would be like adding up two lost travelers in Transylvania who meet a boisterous transsexual and expect The Rocky Horror Picture Show. There are hundreds of micro considerations that all have to add up to make the magic happen. It's not a tractor being assembled - it's a world.

So my concern is it will have desired features but just not feel like EQ.

  • MMoRPG of The Year // Opinion

Well if it's mmo, not mmorpg, and just for this year, maybe Fortnite? Seems to be the most popular. But I can't personally vouch for that.
