    ...are they really?
You see, here is the ugly specter of snarky commentary once again rearing its unattractive head yet again. On the one hand, we are castigated for...writing a news piece about an MMO that you happened not to like @Avanah? Somehow that's OUR fault? Do we need to put a standard warning label on all of our news and features saying that a game might not be for everyone? * facepalms *

On the other, a snarky slap in the face at our integrity @Tiller? Really? Then why are you here?

Some days the level of posting on these forums is beyond comprehension. :hushed:

  • Layoffs Confirmed, Sustainable Development Now Stable - Chronicles of Elyria - MMORPG.com

    Aurorikin said:
Just wanted to point out something with this article. I usually ignore them when they don't say which game is being spoke of in the headline but I thought maybe if I pointed it out, writers would start writing the name.
    I will address this here briefly @aurorikin ;

When on the main MMORPG.com site on the front page, news items on that page have the game name listed under the news.

On the MMORPG.com/news page, the game icon from our games list is next to the article title.

On the mobile news feed and in the forum draw from the MMORPG.com/news page, the names are not brought in due to factors out of our hands, mostly due to those of the forum software.

If we chose to put the game title in the news article itself, it would then display in Google and other search engines and in RSS feeds double: Chronicles of Elyria: Chronicles of Elyria Layoffs Confirmed... and so forth. We have opted not to do that.

If you want to know what the games are under discussion, you'll need to visit http://www.mmorpg.com/news or turn your mobile app to https://www.mmorpg.com/mobile/index.cfm

I always try to list the game name in the opening paragraph that is drawn into the forums and on to RSS feeds to try to mitigate some of that.

This isn't the fault of writers, but a glitch in the software of an aging CMS system.
  • Undocumented Changes in 7.3.5 See Vastly Increased Health Pools in Old Raids - World of Warcraft - M

<3 the new Saurfang model and how .... ORC he is. Rather than the broken hearted old man he was in ICC, he's reborn as the formidable warrior that he always was.

For you vanilla fans, Saurfang definitely has a PTSD moment: "Nothing good EVER comes out of Silithus..." he growls.

As the former leader of the united forces there, no surprise, huh?
  • 7.3.5 Arrives Tomorrow with ZoneScaling, Silithus Quests & More But No Allied Races - World of Warcr

Why would the allied races come in a content patch like this?  Whole point of it is to get you to buy the expansion.

Talk about being blatantly clueless with your expectations.
Hardly, as you so snarkily said, "blatantly clueless". The allied races starting scenarios, character models, character creation options and capital city embassies have been on PTR in the 7.3.5 content from the time it landed on PTR. Some thought they will come to 7.3.5, but much later, perhaps at the time that the new battleground and Silithus quests open. By then, preorders should be open and we should be within 3-6 months of the pre-event.
