I miss the same things - back in the early days of EQ1 and UO seems like the games (and players?) were much more naturally social.
I'm not looking for a chat room really - I want something to DO in the game, just as a group or team. Newer games do…
You've gotten some good responses from the previous posters, but just to add my 2 cents as a veteran MMOer:
Ryzom and LOTRO both have great communities. The games are pretty different (LOTRO being more similar to WoW), so I would pick which you th…
Yeah I'm going to give beta a try. I actually think the playerbase may be more "mature" because the people playing likely won't be as obsessed with phat lewts and being l33t. I'm hoping for a more social, laid back playerbase, something it seems we …
When you notice the lag a bit, is your computer making loading sounds/hard drive light solid on? Does it happen when you turn in a circle, or just randomly? Do spells not respond instantly when you cast them, even though you can turn and look around…
I wouldn't bother to call in sick - just would take a day off, except I am onsite out of town at a client's all week. So I'd have to be pretty deathly ill not to go in to work since they flew me out here and are putting me up in a hotel all week. …
Just to add my 2 cents
I have the same rig as you except with a quad core (which Warhammer doesn't use), and 4GB of memory. However, Warhammer only uses about 1.1GB of RAM, so 2GB should be more than enough.

I don't think he means macros so much as just being able to set the single next skill. So rather than waiting for the cooldown timer and clicking at the exact second it drops to use the next ability, being able to click the next skill you want to fi…

Just wanted to respond to the last post.. I have thought for awhile a Facebook-style application for MMO gamers would be awesome. Something that let you register with your character names in many different games and linking them…
