While I appreciate the review, and I have always trusted his reviews, this one gives me some pause. I think a key factor here is that it's similar to the author's favorite game, which is overly tilting the scales in the game's favor.
Is it a T…
Fantastic review! Good explanations and descriptions of the positive and negative aspects. Based on what I read, I doubt the game is for me. But luckily it's free to try and I'll give it a go regardless.
It seems difficult for eastern MMOs to …
Why does everyone think player count = good? Because, it doesn't. We're talking about artwork here. Maybe YOU like it, and maybe not. But just because a game doesn't have the high player counts or massive DLC spikes of another game, doesn't mean it'…
It looks like a pretty fun game. I'm not super hyped with the fact that they kept the Korean pay-to-win mechanics though. Buying item upgrades and enhancements from the shop is not a good sign. But that really only effects end game.

They didn't "pull" anything. Someone is just super sour that the game wasn't a walk in the park for a while, and has pretend anger over the extremely short-lived Sony requirements scandal.
Why people want the game to "fail" is beyond me. Look, if y…
So, let's run down what the game offers:
- Open PvP
- No anti-cheat
- No bans for exploited
- Microscopic community
- Ranting "dude bro" players who think anyone who doesn't want a no-rules gank fest are "snowflakes"
1,000% PASS

Part of the issue, aside from exclusivity, is the "expectations" factor. There is a sickness is corporate culture that they expect every new project to make MORE and MORE money. They're not satisfied if a game is just "successful". They're not satis…
Translation:
We only want projects that will get the most amount of money, the fastest we possibly can. So, screw all the staff and fans. We'll just stick to our regular micro-transaction plan in DbD.

Well if its going the PvE focused route and focuses on gameplay instead of a character's pronouns, it should do alright like HD2. Hurray for more Playstation account linking.

I signed up to test this as soon as I could. Once I saw Raph was in charge, it was 100% trust from me. I just really trust that the guy knows what gamers (and MMO players) want/need.
So far, I really like what I see.
Glad they're not changing. It would be a kick in the face to people who bought into early access, only to have the game go f2p with a bunch of live service add-ons.
It's just my opinion, but I'm over the huge amount of games that just keep milk…
Not surprising they're cutting middle-management, random support staff, etc. after acquiring more studios. Things like PR staff don't need to be double and triple covered.
Umm, who?
Seriously. I've never heard of this studio or these people. Not even sure a team of 25 people quitting is news. Not to be too cynical, but there are bigger teams making mobile games.
I don't get where this idea of "dark money" owning every single member of government comes from. It's a crazy conspiracy theory, and as a political scientist, we've seen this just isn't true in 90% of situations. Sure, when it comes to massive natio…
It's too bad that while reviews for the game itself have been decent, the angry dude bro crowds of the internet have "review bombed" it across things like Google and Metacritic, despite never having played the game itself.
They're all mad for t…
This is what happens when the MAIN focus of a game is just the bottom dollar. How much money you can make in the easiest way possible. Is it about quality? No.
You get uninspired content, then when it doesn't meet profit margin expectations, th…
