TERA sucks.
It has the best combat of any MMO ever. But its a bit too slow paced and dumbed down for 'keyboard turners' if you will.
Aside from the combat it's an incredibly boring and generic copy of every other MMO. Your first few weeks wi…
Wow, I absolutely hate when games have multiple hotbars full of skills to use, that doesn't make it any more strategic or hard, it just makes things more tedius.
Lineage 2 was great with 30-35 classes, but now with the new update they are dumbing it down to 8 classes...making there no variations between say an archer from each race.
yeah like i said it's going to have minigames, pvp exp farm, fast teleports/travel, etc...
they have no interest in making an actual old-school server, this is just some gimmick, and everyone is hoping its going to be what AoC SHOULD have been in …
Rift is ZZZZZZ
it has everything, instanced PvP, open world PvP, raiding, instances, quests, world objectives, etc...but it doesnt focus or do a particular job at any of them.
In short its going down the same road as every other MMO in t…
You people have no idea.
This server is going to be PvP token loot (as in when you die you don't actually lose anything), no guards so people can just harass you talking to NPC (this would actually be a great thing if there was full player loo…
I think a more appropriate word for MMO's is player-driven.
For example EVE, L2, and even DAoC although RvR based were player driven...For example players chose the fights. You don't have to fight, but usually there is a conflict of interest. …

Alternate EXP routes.
For easiest explanation I'll just talk about the system in Earth and Beyond. Basically there were 3 ways to level up, each capped at 50 leaving an overall level of 150. Those ways were: Combat, Exploration and Trading.

Yet none of those games provided the 'hook' to attract a niche of players, instead of having a hook they were trying to attract everyone, and in the end nobody was interested.
TSW if you look at my sig is one game I'm interested in. GW2 is not…
I like to play healers, real ones.
Not healers that can do damage and things all on their own. I miss the days of the Lineage 2 healer being the most important class, yet a lvl 80 healer had a hard time killing a lvl 10 mob
Again you have 3 distinct levels, combat, crafting/trading and exploration, each of them is capped at 50 which makes for an overall level of 150. A lot of skills and certain gear you can use is based on your overall level. So If you decide to level …
Originally posted by Quirhid Wait, wait, wait... I can use same tier gear and skills with 10/1/1 (Combat- / Exploration- / Trade level) as with 1/1/10? Why should I level anything except one of those?

Land based game: Lineage 2...no zones, no loading screens, only problem is teleporters can move you anywhere, but it's great to go out in a zone and run for 30 minutes and still not be blocked in by a cubicle of hills/mountains.
