Aside from what everybody else said, that sword was designed by a backer as part of a contest and CSE is adding it in game as the reward for the contest. They picked it not because they thought it was historically accurate but because it looked cool…
It's actually Beta 1 that is projected to start July 4 not Open Beta. There will be 4 beta stages: Beta 1, Beta 2, Beta 3, and Open Beta. Open Beta is likely to start a year or more after Beta 1 begins.
Today's weekly update stream mentioned the next announcement is Beta. They aren't quite ready yet however. Within 2 weeks I would hope but it's likely a combo of getting the code in place along with aligning the new hires and tea…
If it's anything like they say it will, I'll be playing the shit out of the beta.
Assuming they will be doing a full wipe shortly before launch as is traditional, I'll only be giving it…
A BattleRoyale game is launching on SpatialOS soon that touts 400+ player battles that look good. I think that is going to put a bit of pressure on CSE to get their engine done and out there for people to see, and if not it should.…
So yeah all the references to massive fights in the interviews that came out for the new investment caught my eye too.
It's possible what Mark means is just that supporting those fights technically (at good or at least playable frame rates etc) is …
The announcement was on the stream and is on their website here: http://camelotunchained.com/v3/victory-cu/
Out of curiosity, how do you find that link? It's not on their homepage, it's not …
I've been checking in on the CU site every hour today.....well, since 9am US anyway. Nothing yet, but I remain excited!
Look elsewhere on this site.

There's no sign the game needs money right now. More investors wouldn't come close to being better than Beta 1 for me. If anything, it would suggest that the game actually was in money trouble. I don't think that will be it.
Mark already ruled out …
Could always be added after release ... like a game goblin army invasion or some such calamities ... random orcish zergs terrifying citizens and whatnot
Mark will need to be very careful about adding PvE after launch. Ther…
ok you heard it here first
From looking at the updates on their site, things are really falling into place.
Beta: late Q2 : 2018
Release: Late Q4: 2018- Early Q1 2019
Happy new year! (Next year)

They really need to get this out sooner rather than later otherwise the community interest will slowly begin to evaporate ... I think that's happening already.
It's okay not to like or be interested in a PvP or RvR game such as CU. Don't back it and don't play it if that's you. Clearly there are tens of thousands of players who do find the basic concept appealing though which should be enough to make it su…
Even if what the OP predicts was true (which I doubt), who cares? This is a game that is designed for players who want to RvR not to dominate the entire industry. That's why the Foundational Principle that "RvR isn't the end game, it's the only game…
the writing was on the wall, when they decided to built their own engine, therefore they bite off more than they could chew.., they could have learnt lesson…
The delay and slow progress is very frustrating, but I don't have any sense that the game is actually in danger of not launching ("the writing is on the wall"). I fully expect Beta 1 to begin later this year (2018) and launch to happen within the ne…
No P2W cash shop.
No effort to raise 10s of millions of dollars selling mount skins or the likes. In fact they have stopped new stretch goals until Beta 1 begins.
No PvE level and raiding grind befor…
