I would think there is a decent percentage of MMO gamers who read forums pertaining to their favorite games and gaming. But what you HEAR on forums always tends to be dominated by a small, noisy, whiney minority.

I think the hysteria over the work "skill" here is pretty hysterical ... and pathetic. It's fairly obvious (to me) that all the OP was looking for was to see how many people preferred games that include dice-roll mechanics versus games that do not.

I dislike the idea of gaming with minimal death penalty. To me the idea of a game is challenge, so playing a game with little or no death penalty is like playing poker with "pretend money."
