Scaling every zone to the players level is frankly dog crap (scaling makes sense in a few situations and maybe in some specific mechanic type zones), but when used extensively it ruins any "heroic" feeling of the game and destroys any sense of accom…
I called the death of Tabula Rasa and The Matrix Online before they left beta when it was announced they were leaving beta. Neither had notable game play worth a crap... they could have been fixed before leaving beta but they flat out wouldn't list…

ill stick to wow (again). there is no game on the market which can beat wow gameplay - its responsive, smooth, animation is nice and fluid - everything just works!
I'd argue rift does at this point (post-panda) and at l…
Wow... disappointing.
This is like diablo-guildwars-rift hybrid. Not that any are bad games, and this won't be bad either... but its nothing-- new, interesting, or fun excepting the voxel terrain stuff.

I like dps meters and such, lets me figure out which spec/rotation is working the best without it being just a feeling or me spending hours combing logs or constructing tools to do it. I really like in game ones since I get immediate feed back and …

I'm very impressed with where they went, they've pretty much addressed 99% of my complaints with the first release and I expect they'll do well in the future with it as well based on what they've done so far.
They'll have pvp servers and they'll have pve servers. Same as eq1, eq2, etc. Or they'll do the overt/covert system like swg. It's not going to be wide free open world pvp with no kind of consent system... that's game suicide.
They canned city of heroes, who was more profitable when they canned it than when they got it. They're not bringing back tabula rasa if they're not bringing back coh.
Both of which I find kinda sad.

There are some pretty atrociously bad animations to be honest. To be fair though, that would never effect my desire to play a game. I play roguelikes because they're fun and challenging. *shrug*.
The killer for me was the combat, it's just dull m…
Many things the unofficial high res mod was doing to improve quality can be done with the high res texture pack as well improving it further. Don't knock it just yet. Higher grade base graphics to work off of will improve the look of the game furt…
Because everyone loves repeating the same content over and over and over and over thousands of times silly! I mean who wouldn't want dailies they're so... monotonous and god knows we all play mmo's to maximize our activity monotony!
Are you implying SWG had 5000 players when it announced to be shut down? Because what I seen, for example from http://www.mmodata.net/, shows around 50.000 subs which is probably more than what WAR has now with only two-three servers left.
