Brilliant thread. It's amazing that even after all these years I make a pilgrimage to these pages every once in a while to remember the awesomeness that was SWG, pre NGE.
In fairness to the OP.....I agree its greedy. My household has 3 accounts. All of which have been cancelled prior to MoP due to the complete lack of new content introduced by Blizzard prior to the new expansion.
At this point I do not want to buy t…

I cancelled for similar reasons to those mentioned here... For me it is more a single player game than a true MMORPG.
I really wanted to love this game, but have been seriously disappointed by it.
I agree with the sentiment of the OP, in that the storytelling is too long imho and not engaging. I am a huge Star Wars fan and am struggling to be drawn into the game so far.
Interesting discussions chaps...
Hopefully I'll have a go of the game in a day or so....but I must admit I was interested in the pvp penalities to spice things up some...though as an ex-wow player it'll be interesting to see if I actually like…

When you play an online game like SWG:

Well for me there are a couple of points:
1. The game pre-raid is very different, with different play requirements etc. Which it is fair to say that some will enjoy the raiding as opposed to the quest/exploration/grind pre 60. So on transition to …
As a mature player myself, I can certainly understand your concern about the attitudes of many players within the Wow community. From my perspective it is, as has been stated above, important to find yourself a good Guild, of like minded people. As …
Personally I enjoyed part of the grind as it can help you understand the system and the rules of the game so to speak. The final push to 60 however was a ball ache and I personally didnt enjoy it. At 60 I would argue most of the content is available…
