Well most classes work well together, but if you have two casters, you might want a troubador in the group to support them, and you will need a healer - possibly a fury or warden, and of course a tank - a shadowknight might go well with that group. …

EQ is destroyed for people who liked it the way it was... but those people are also the people who want to be stuck in the past and don't like change. I think there are a lot of things that made EQ better that are in it…
Part of it was that the game was cutting edge several years ago. Also part of it is they have really tried to improve the graphics of each expansion. The older content doesn't look that great but the newer content really looks sharp.

Playing devils advocate though, isnt the greatest success (WoW) not innovative at all? They did what Blizzard do best, take a genre and just refine it evolution not revolution. No major bells and whistles (espcially …
I agree Cyansword, I don't think we'll ever see a DAOC 2, this is just speculation. And I really wanted to play Imperator also. But the reality of the MMO landscape these days is that most companies just want to copy a successful game and trying som…
If it was done similarly to DAOC, but updated, most likely yes. I think I like a lot of DAOC fans were expecting a lot more from WAR in terms of "DAOC 2" features but we didn't get them. To be honest if Mythic did DAOC again I bet they'd reduce it t…
Nerfs are always going to be a part of the game - the devs may try to test changes on test servers, etc, but there's no way for them to consider every possible effect of their change ahead of time. I understand that people would prefer to have other…

Champions Online has one whiney community... seems to me you didn't even give the game a chance or like it, and just looking for reasons to hate it.
I don't want to bash people, because some of the complaints may…
I deliberately didn't play in beta or headstart so I could get a fresh approach to the game when it was released, and so far I am having a lot of fun. I'm not sure what all the chaos is about in the forums, but I believe Cryptic will continue to add…
I think the fanboys for any game that hasn't come out yet are the worst. Come on people, it's fine to like a game, but if you haven't got all the facts, don't give any game your blind obedience. Wait and see, and then judge.
I'm not the OP but I doubt cross server dungeons will do much. The problem now for WOW isn't that there aren't enough people on a server, it's that the entire system is built for soloing, with very strong classes, etc. There is some grouping of cour…
It's not really a classical MMO, but the closest thing I've seen to a sports MMO are games like Goal Line Blitz and Cyberdunk - both are games that let you build players, level them up and improve their skills through gameplay. I realy enjoyed playi…
Really this varies a lot between different games. Certainly a lot of games are trying to become more solo friendly, and there may be some that never focus on grouping, but if you want to group, and enjoy that shared experience, it isn't like there a…
I am playing Everquest 2. I love this game because of its complexity and its depth - there is a great and helpful community, lots of great quests to do and places to explore, and you have a wide array of classes and races to choose from in making yo…
Unfortunately no - but a new good starting area is set to be released soon - either in the expansion that should come out in February or before that. I recommend starting in Neriak or Gorowyn until then (and actually any character can travel to Goro…
I don't think we'll see it until the major developers stop trying to make every game emulate WOW. Right now the newer games come in with hype but don't last long, and I think that trend will continue in the next year or so. SWTOR might be it, and wi…
As others have mentioned, it's because most of the big developers want to swing for the fences and not produce something that will be a niche game at best. There may be quite a lot of people who like the idea of a sandbox game, but MMO players like…
I would probably say my Animist in DAOC - they are a caster class which had stationary mushroom like pets that cast on anyone entering their area. Very tactical class in terms of where to place your pets, and I found it fun to play, though they were…
