If you go VIP you won't need to buy any areas up until around level 50-55, when you'll be ready to move into Moria. Moria was an expansion pack, so you'll need to purchase it if you want to keep questing at that point. Alternately, you could run ski…
$80 for a digital download expansion is pretty absurd. I know it comes with some Turbine points and XP boosts, but c'mon it's just digital stuff. And it's an expansion to boot. That's like the price of a physical CE for a full retail game.
Originally posted by trancejeremy LOTRO was a well done game until they hit Moria. Moria was dark and bleak, which made sense, but just wasn't much fun.
But the big problem was the legendary items. Basically they were meant to be weapons that "g…
The stats on that gear are terrible, but it's a slippery slope and I would imagine we'll eventually see stuff at least on par with level 75 crafted armour. Poor decision, Turbine.
As a lifer there's no reason to leave, really. Use the 6,000 points per year they give you to buy the expansion content, raids, instances. No need to spend money on the game ever again, just keep playing till they shut the servers down. That's what …
Good topic. I have my first kid on the way due in 5 months and I've been thinking about how much exposure (if any) I want them to have to video games. Part of me just wants to pack up all the game systems and not let them see video games at all. But…
I've never played WoW, so I can only speak as an outsider. But seeing these pandas does nothing to increase my desire to play this game. I doubt I'd play any MMO that had pandas in it, they are far too 'cutesy' for my tastes. Maybe it will attract m…
Will you marry me? LOL
Do many people still play Atlantica? I played for about 4-6 months when the game launched and got to level 50-ish before getting bored with it. Seemed to get a bit grind-y getting new weapons and armour. Might have to go ba…
I can't imagine LOTRO going anywhere for at least another 4 years. Eventually we'll get to Mordor, but after that who knows what will happen to the game. I think as long as people are spending twenty bucks on mounts and fifty bucks on some exclusive…
I only preorder if it's something I know I'll have a hard time finding. Like when Sega GT Online came out I knew no store in their right mind would carry that game. So I pre-ordered it and got the only copy at my nearby Gamestop.

Thank god. At least I know my PC won't RROD.
If you already have several characters on other servers, will it even be possible to create a new character on Deathwish if you are F2P? I logged into my account yesterday (which is now F2P I assume) and it won't let me create a new character on any…
