You missed the point of the "content is not worth a damn" quote. He was saying how content is so easily used up and tossed asside by gamers. What matters most to the longivity of games to gamers is the loyalty and "cult" following of the gamers with…

Careful, this post got deleted off of this website because someone claimed that these numbers were h@cked. Nasty word, and completely untrue in how these numbers were obtained. Big debate. Another can of worms.
To think that I once liked the guy and defended him... he's fallen far in the past 4 years. I could postulate from this interview that SOE truly is the root of all evil that corrupts all that it touches.

B*st*rds. I have never known a gaming company to screw their customers over so thoroughly than SOE. How they survive is anyone's guess. SOE is a prime example as to why (with rare exceptions) large corporations shouldn't develop games.
Interesting. It seems they are going for a sequal call "Combat Upgrade 2: No Really We Will Get It Right This Time"
Rather sad that the Star Wars MMO is struggling like it is. This letter proves to the community that the developers have screwed up…

Why is it that people feel that they need to claim they were in beta 2? Why not beta 3 or even 4? There were less than a 1000 people added into beta 2. Beta 1 didn't go above 100…
The good:
It has the name "Star Wars" in the title.
It has lightsabers.
It has neat character customizations.
The bad:
It has little to do with anything actually "Star Warsy"
Jedi ruined gameplay for many players directly and indirectly.…

That again is not true. Subscriptions are higher since the CU, relative to a few months or so prior to it. So they are doing something right.
And that isn't accurate. They had an influx of subscriptions added…
