Something is missing in the game, I have never seen guilds crumble so soon in a game.
A lot of people I know came to the game for PVP (not spvp) but it really lacks here too, copy pasted maps, and no progression. I'm afraid no matter what you might…
EU is stuffed, a lot of people have not been able to get in game at all. Not even a peep.
Pretty bloody poor, really these days you should be able to release a game in a playable state (yes its headstart but it should still be playable).
Been playing a couple of months, 2 level 50's in T2. Bored now.
I just wish they hadn't gone down the damn instanced pvp route - it is so tedious, repetitve and pointless - I hated it about WoW and I hate it here. PVE is good but PVP is not.

Fond memories of DAoC, a real DAoC 2 would have been awsome (not WAR)
Playing DFO for 4 weeks now and its the first game since Dark Age of Camelot to provide some wonder and a 'buzz' when roaming the world - its a dangerous place, and there is no set path to follow, you do as you like.
Its hard as a new player for s…
I found AOC to be nothing new after playing wow for years as it was the only decent mmo really around, main reason I stayed in wow for so long was becuase of guild friends and the social aspect that brings. I came back to AOC recently and it has imp…
Well the trial worked on me. I started playing with the trial offer and have enjoyed it more than any of the other games I have tried over the last few years, everything else just seemed like a WoW clone - and I didnt even like wow that much because…
10 hours in, terrible game. Storyline sucks, characters suck, dialog is awful, no freedom at all. Just feels like I'm watching a crappy cartoon its so linear. Nothing in the combat system makes me think - wow, thats cool at least.
Taking it back.
Also Daoc RVR had open combat with teams of 8 that roamed looking for fights, and almost a sub culture within known as stealth wars, which was great for those who liked to play a more solo/duo pvp - I played both and it was the best pvp I have ever …
to the OP - you are certainly not alone, i completely agree. UO was my introduction into the mmorpg world and it was fantastic at the time, DAoC was the only other notable experience, more linear but a whole lot more open than the current trend.

Every new mmorpg i play with the hope that it delivers something which builds upon the basics that DAoC brought along, but they never do and really its always dissapointing.

whatver anyone says, too me it just doesnt feel like an mmo - more like a straight up rpg
instanced dungeons is one thing, but instanced zones just isnt what an mmorpg should be about
It does look a hell of alot like WoW and i do hope wow players stay there, so far the poeople i have met/grouped with have been decent sorts not the so many of the selfish must level fast l33t lot which is much more prevailent in WoW.
I hardly see…
