I have mixed feelings. I believe that monster play is a good substitute to pvp. But i do think it kills immersion. I believe that Turbine will not release a LOTRO expansion for a long time. When they do however, they will add evil races (orcs, Uruk-…

A little late to this one but, Hobbits killed Hobbits, and Humans killed Elves and vice versa.

It'll probably be something like COV to COH. Eventually they will release an expansion pack or something that lets you play Evil races. In the beginning, Free people will win. But lots of people will join and play evil races so it'll even itself out…
Like the books and movies, this game will be like a trilogy. The game will represent the Fellowship of the ring. Besides the ponys that the hobbits owned, horses had no significant part of the book, and thus will not be in the first game. I do agree…
First of all, a while back I saw a dev conversation saying they are working on a pvp system. That doen't mean evil races because you know that the dwarves didn't like the elves much. And I am pretty sure that there wont be any OPEN pvp. By open I m…

I truley hope that turbine sees that putting crafting in LOTRO would please many people. I mean I personally dont craft much but come on. The dwarves were master smiths and LOTR practically invented making magical items. Just a thought.

Personally, I think LOTRO engine isn't the same as AC2 and DDO. I don't know why, but if you just stare closely at one of the wolves in LOTRO, it just doen't look much like DDO.
With the somewhat shakey realese of DDO this past week, I am worried that LoTRO won't have such a good release. I think DDO was a good game, but unfinished. If it survives for another year than I'll check it out again. But I thinK LOTRO looks very p…

What is turning me off to this game is the complaints by the D&D fans themselves. You wont see any Wow fans slamming WOW. You wont find any complaining about Darkfall or Conan either. There fans are all pumped up…
IMHO if Turbine had not used D&D as the theme and layout for this game and made their own game universe, this would be a huge hit. Here is why:
1. D&d license costs alot of mullah$$$
2. The D&D fans wouldn't be upset at the necessary…
I can't show you the exact link but I saw an interview with Ken Troop saying that they spent time to perfect their quests and that about 30 quests are being added shortly after release. I personnally think they should've delayed the release instead.

Couple of interesting comments there.
I do find it intriguing that people would compare a game that hasn't even been released in Beta to another game by the same developers. DDO and LOTRO are two vastly different style…
People. Think about the drenei. they are dark, evil and allies with the blood elves. Blizzard cant put 2 allied races on different factions. I actually think the fubolgs are the ally race.

I quite enjoyed the article and I personally think that collosal studios could make alot of money by making their own fantasy MMO. With those Models and some innovation, they could make a game that would sweep the market
