I'd say that SWTOR has seen increased player activity since the new movies came out. Areas that I play in during prime times have plenty of folks running around.
The problem with this question is that those games with horrible housing probably also have other systems that are horrible, and thus never attracted me. I'm not a fan of the hook system, and wasn't pleased with the ramifications of SWG open world h…

@Moirae I talked about this the first time I ran a column like this. This is the fifth or sixth one. This is something I do as bonus content on the site. This doesn't take away from any MMO content we would have had on the site. …
The Tower of Frozen Shadow was also one of my favorite hangouts for my paladin. Something about that tower really captured my imagination. Having said that, one of my favorite moments was taking my 10th level Dark Elf Warrior into Kael Drakkal. Bec…
I'm glad to hear that every niche of real estate has a purpose. I was playing Fallout 3 again this week in preparation for FO 4, and while it holds up fairly well, I was surprised at the amount of absolute nothing that exists in the game. Entire sec…
Sweet! Music in all of the Bethesda games has been amazing and spot on...the company's music director really understands the role it plays. I can't wait to hear this...will I keep in on repeat while I sleep like Dovahkiin? Remains to be seen.
My first impression of "Fall of the Risen" or "Awaken the Sleeping" or "Meals of the Hungry" is that the team should have actually hired a creative writer to the team long before they generated the name for this game. Rise of the Fallen sounds like …
Agree with the comment above regarding UI. I like to go back to EQ1 once in a while. Then I'm reminded of the horrid UI. It's not EQ's graphics, but the UI that turns me off.
Originally posted by tawess I would pick this game up in a heartbeat if it was not for the fact that it will go F2P once released.
I do my best to stay away from paid alpha-testing.
That is the fate of every MMO these days. Sooner or late…
I've been playing Minecraft for several years now, and still not bored of it. Multi-player Minecraft. About as open sandbox as one can get. The only thing it lacks is the Massively part. But everything else I desire exists there in spades.
There's only one Game Developer left that I'll automatically buy their games, and it's Bethesda (read: not Zenimax Online). BioWare used to be in this select group, but its recent releases (after being devoured by EA) have been lackluster.
Doesn't…

There are plenty of Zombie type mmo games, go play those and pretend it's WD.
Define 'plenty'? DayZ, H1Z1....that's about it. Not that I think a Walking Dead MMO would be a good idea. What makes WD a su…
OP isn't so far fetched.
There is (or used to be) an excellent tank warfare simulator, the name of which I'm forgetting at the moment. The devs charged a lot of money for purchase and online fees....something like $125 for the game and $50 per mon…
I think it's a fairly nice idea, even though I voted no (I almost always solo). I think the prime value would be in setting up groups prior to actually getting in game. Say you and your app group are at work still...you all use the app to set the ti…
I'm still partial to Earth and Beyond. An MMO that had an actual Explorer class.
Of the more widely known MMOs, I'd say EQ1 was pretty special. I STILL have the game loaded on my PC, and play it a few times a year even though I've moved on to the n…
I respect David, but he is so off base on his assumption of 'the brag'. Not only that, he's rather arrogant in his assumption that we gamers, all of us, must fall into that motivation.
I play Minecraft. I love single player survival. I am in no…
