Pretty much the only old school online game out there. Everything else seems to have been WoWified/casualized into the ground.

I don't know about the others but PoE copied everything that was good in D2 and improved it. If an MMO did that with WoW I'm sure people would be ecstatic.

I personally can't play subscription games any more. It feels like I'm renting a game and not that I own it. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I much prefer the F2P and B2P models, even with cash shops (as long as they are not P2W).

PoE is not an MMO, but I agree that it is the best F2P by far for those of us who dislike MOBAs.

Please stop comparing this game to DAoC. They did that with GW2 too. Besides RvR, they have absolutely nothing in common. And even the RvR is different. It's more like WoW's wintergrasp with a 3rd faction than "DAOC RvR"
