Have played: Everquest, Asheron's Call, Horizons, Everquest2, World of Warcraft, Lord of the Rings Online, Warhammer, Age of Conan, Darkfall
Currently playing WoW; not the best but I'm not done with it.
"I'm going to get this out there right off the bat: I wish that Blizzard would start developing Diablo 4 or at least give us a new expansion."
Suzie, how can someone in the business of reporting on games be unaware that Blizzard has been hiring…
People that listen to movie critics get what they deserve - bad advice that leads to missed opportunities. Might as well throw knives at your own feet.
The worst comments I've heard about it were that there's too much in it. Some people like it…
In my opinion no game that calls itself an "MMORPG" should be easy to get into. It should be a rich, persistent world filled with things that keep you interested in it by providing you with a lot of varied things to do. Combat should be complex enou…
This looks like a great game; the kind I've been looking for in many ways. Great combat and a sandbox-style MMOG. I bought it and will be giving it a serious effort - despite the fact that I'm heavy into Blade & Soul right now.
That said, …
More power to Blizzard! I hope they get every dime they ask for and then a criminal case gets filed in which every person accused is immediately thrown in jail, allowed a bond at the maximum legal rate, and get 25 years in jail when convicted. I …
The Borderlands series is one of my all-time favorites. I love the Gearbox devs, too, they create with PASSION, something a lot of other developers don't show or just plain don't have (I'm looking at you WoW devs). Yeah, sometimes they have missed t…
For some reason I got the impression that it would be awhile before we actually saw the game. Like, they were confident enough to announce it was coming, but weren't far along enough to say that it was coming anytime soon. I was thinking more like t…
In my opinion there has been no Xpack that it totally bad, and I think the same about WoD. But, here's the thing about WoD that I think is really wrong -
More money for less content.
I've dropped all my subs to help send the message to Blizzard th…
So far looks like they've done one good thing - which is not spend half their budget making hype trailers that promise an epic experience instead of actually trying to give us an epic experience. Lots of potential good stuff, but I just can't get…
Lots of stuff to be excited about here (imo), but the question is - are they going to deliver, or are they going to pull another WoD?
And, what's the price? We were charged too much for WoD (had some good content and good ideas, but not enough and …
Gearbox is my favorite game development company. This sounds like a very good thing to me, and a positive sign for whatever their next project will be.
I can't help but think we could well get an MMO"FPS" for the next Borderlands. We may well get t…
The sad thing is that Witcher 3, a console-bred single-player game, is actually a far better RPG than any current MMORPG.
I haven't been playing it, just watching it streamed by people playing it on console or on PC. No question the PC version l…
The thing for me is - I LIKED when the skill trees were huge and we had to have an addon to show all the skills/abilities on the screen at once (at least if you were playing a Warlock). That pretty much peaked in the Burning Crusade Xpack. I liked W…
Looks like a rip of Gearbox' Battleborn to me. Blizzard will make their own version of course and do a good job, but I'm going to go with Battleborn at this point as being the game with more satisfying heart.
MMOGs shouldn't have an "end of expansion lifecycle". This is just an excuse for not having enough game play to last 2 years despite the $40 initial cost of the Xpack and $15/mo per subscriber to make enough content interesting to millions of the …
I imagine it's a typo, or the price was a placeholder number in some document the leak source gleaned his "information" from. I seriously doubt Blizzard would charge more than SOE does for a similar Everquest II upgrade ($35).
That being said, $60 …
Leveling is such a freakin boring thing in WoW now, I think instant leveling is a benefit to everyone with more than one character. Heck, I don't even have a problem with new people joining and being able to make a L85 character, when the cap is L95.
