I like the idea of "seasons" like Guild Wars 2 has. Plus it'd follow the television model, and on top of that give time for off kiltered activities like esport.
I'm going to blame production style rather than tech or anything in this dept. I think …
Raiding in a MMO hasn't been fun since waking the Sleeper in EQ1.
Honestly if a game goes against WoW's pointless raid system then by all means it's a +1 buy in my book.
As for zerg pvp... Make friends.
FFXI is a group oriented game.
Even WoW's raids just require everyone to have addons and no real need for communication.
More MMOs need group content as the primary form of progress.
Well if you look at the sub numbers for a lot of these games the majority of people tend to agree.
They play for a bit and see no value in continuing.
That's why so many non-subscription based modes of revenue have became so popular.
There isn't …
I've not been a fan of the maps they've had in the game, but I enjoy the game play and the idea enough to give it a go. I'd like to see more objectives added to the game because honestly zerg a point, everyone die, come back stronger and take two po…

That's my decision. As a person in the creative industry I'm glad suckers are born every minute.
I think the death penalty I hate the most is when it's my own fault. Like the ol' Daggerfall / Morrowind days when I didn't f5 regularly and didn't realize there'd be 3 casting lizards in a room instead of just 2. That'd be after a good 2 and a half…
Think of it from the point of view with investors.
They're not usually gamers. They see the stats from early EQ, what WoW did, how modern games like DDO and DCUO managed to turn things around, and how at least monetarily successful clone games like…

If I die a lot in a game, I'll probably get frustrated and put it down for a while...but I'll usually come back. In fact, dying a lot usually makes me play longer because I see it as a challenge to overcome.

as far as FPS I'm more likely to blow my own self up (HL2) so the only one to be frustrated at would be me not other people or the game mechanics.
For other games, I've been known to drag my half dead body accross the f…

how about features that work? Age of Conan comes to mind. Sieging system was a disaster back in the day, I don't know if they finally fixed that; people are also tired of half-assed games; is MO still in alpha state…
I just want as sandboxy a game as possible with good graphics and a modern action oriented type of gameplay that doesn't try to make everyone who logs in "the man".
That'd require society to change tho'. So, I'll hold my breath and eventually die.
I'm hoping Hunter and Werewolves make it in quick.
Mage would be fun too, but it'd obviously not be so free form. That's going to be true about all the games tho' I guess from their pen & paper counterparts.
Changling and Kindred of the East a…

So I will preface this by saying I intend to buy GW2 and enjoy it as an E-sport type game. There seems to be a lot of people with the impression this game is actually a MMORPG. Now this may simply be a distinction …
Is it that time of month to discuss this again?
Look I wear a dress while I play someone who should wear a dress, but feels more at ease stabbing people in a leather thong.
I really wanna get in the moment, but I don't wanna chafe.
