Maybe Xyson? It has a very native american feel to it, though it takes place a few years in the future after an apocalypse. Haven't played it in like 2 years so I can't really say much about it.
Tales of Maj'Eyal, just bought it on steam and I'm loving it. Like 20 classes and 8 races. Each class is unique, has skill trees, basic ones, but they're still there. 50 levels. Can turn on permadeath if you want. Totally worth $7.

Probably the first time I ran Shadowfang Keep in WoW. I was only like 11 or 12 and still didn't know a thing about the game. And it was within the first month or so of release, so everyone was still pretty much a noob. So me and some dwarf guy …
Personally I think the only way a dungeon finder could be implemented well is if they take the way WoW used to do dungeons. You join queue and can see a list of people also in the queue and invite them at your leisure. The problem with that system i…
I wasn't around for when games were like that, but I've always wanted to try one. Have you guys tried the Fippy server of EQ? I feel like that's as close as it'll get for a long while..

Never played Voyage Century, but I think I have a general idea of what you want. Not a lot of games have the whole gather/craft/trade thing done well. Anyways a few that I'd suggest are

If you're looking for a good up-to-date tutorial for DF, there's a book out called "Getting Started with Dwarf Fortress". I honestly couldn't get more then an hour into playing without losing track of everything, but just got the book and haven't st…
Haven and Hearth hits everything on your checklist. Crafter, trader, farmer, hunter. It's pretty much necessary to know someone from each classification to make a decent living in the game. And even after that those break down into more specific "cl…
If you don't mind single player you could try Unreal World or Dwarf Fortress (with a tileset installed) or Last Winter. I really recommend Unreal World, it's complex, fun, and addicting. And there's a few more single player rpgs with realism / survi…
