With the break up of AT&T came the Baby Bells...
With the 20 million disgruntled World of Warcraft players breaking away... comes the Baby Bells of the MMORPG industry.
Instead of having one uber game with such massive player base, there will be 4 to 7 MMORPGs that will have their own niche to cater and house those millions who use to reside in just one-for-all flavorless game. These newer Baby Bells with house from 400K up towards 2M each, with their own flavor and community.
These Baby Bells are grass roots efforts based on a true Vision of roleplaying games and game play, not a checkbox game, financed by investors trying to make a quick buck, or quick ROI.
Shroud of the Avatar, Pantheon:Rise of the Fallen, Saga of Lucimia, Crowfall, etc.. are examples of some of these new challenging MMORPG titles by roleplaying visionaries. Each different in their own way. None are a clone of each other.
