in Lord of the Rings Online

i found this on the LOTRO forums Since i won A Spot i thought i might aswell post. according to Turbine us winners was soppose to Get VIp Codes for the beta has anyone gotten  one from  mmorpg.com.then again Saffron could be wrong what do u guys think

The VIP code is the code that mmorpg.com gave you to claim your beta spot. You enter that code into your Beta Application.

Please be sure to check your typing...they go through an authorization process.

    interesting. well at least we know we are waiting on mmorpg.com to do it rather than turbine who is probably pretety busy and would take longer :)

    will someone said it was the code we got with our tickets but i guess they don;t know what they was talking about cuz i tryed it didn;t work

    Interesting find but ususally thats not the way this works. They need to either send us a beta key which we register at turbines site (8-16 digits long) or have turbine contact the winners. I think they will send a list of the winners to turbine and have them contact us - this can take a while though because they are sorting through many computer specs now to find "their" Beta tester chosen by themselves....

    They have only started beta for North America, so I am sure they will have to sort through the list and see who lives in North America. I also would imagine they would do this in phases, and the winners from MMORPG.com will
    probably be in a later phase.

    For the winners... I hope they hear soon....

    I saw that thread as well, and it was clarified later. There are many contests which had VIP codes to give out. Apparently MMORPG.com didn't have the codes. Turbine will be the one mailing the codes out to the winners. We'll just have to wait and see how it turns out though. I'm not sure myself as there hasn't been an official response though.

    Usually MMORPG.com mails the list of winners to the company, in this case Turbine. At least I believe that's how other contests went. I haven't gotten my key yet.

    I contacted ramen and she told me that mmorpg.com is suppose to give us the beta key. I personally don't care who sends me the beta key i would just like to recieve it.

    You won't be sent a VIP code. Instead, I'm manually flagging your accounts from our end. It would be as if you entered a VIP code.

    No worries my friends, I've got your names and everything.

    now im a differnt name, differnt email address here than there and im sure others are as well, how in the world is he going to work that? am i missing something?

    I was under the impression that it was going by your real name... not your forum login. The name you entered for the contest here and the beta app should match... no?

    I'm going to assume from his latest comments over there that we still have a bit of a wait. he said he would try to match up the accounts on monday... so hopefully we will hear something next week... I'm not going to hold my breath though.

    VIP code received just now from MMORPG.com.

    There is a place on the LOTRO forums to apply for beta - you enter the VIP code on the beta application, then your beta account is flagged as VIP.

    The initial key from MMORPG.com was solely for the contest here.
