1. Is there a way to see what each skill or majic spell (im my case) does? IE a description of its affect.. Lots of games have this but I have yet to see it in this one..
2. Does this game have a map or maybe a map you can buy? Its very hard being a noob when you have no clue where it is you suppose to go. And the stable master cost cash to use.. Somethig that agian (being a noob) have very little of.
3. Is there a good Newbie guide that I could look up somewere.. All the ones that I have seen use abbreviations for things.. Agian I am new so if people use abbreviations to describe certain places or things how am  I suppose to  know the meaning...
 
I want to get into this game, due to the fact that there is really nothing out right now.. But I  really find that its rather difficult with out some of the things that I have mentioned earlier.. Especially considering that the "tutorial" if I were to call it that is really lacking copared to other games I have played.

2. There is no In-game map. However there are many sites with detailed maps for the game. The Official News Site for DAOC, www.camelotherald.com has a wonderful map generator called "Map A lot", also listed below.

    yeah, the lack of in-game maps can be annoying, but it just reminds me of old-fashioned hardcore RPGs where you made yer OWN damn maps. Kinda goes along with the fact that you have to walk everywhere.

    It is kinda hard not knowing your way around, but personally as a DAOC n00b I'm loving it, because I have to explore and get to know my way around by myself.

    Guess what I'm having to say is that I'd rather discover the game content than have it all served up to me on a plate like other games do these days. There's nothing more fun in any game than teh first month of being a n00b and the thrill of dicovery. Savor it.

    You CAN have in-game maps, if you have Trials of Atlantis. There are a few user-created interface mods that replace various interface areas with maps - for ToA zones and frontiers, anyway... not sure about the regular zones. www.daocmods.com has some.
