I've been getting a lot of slack latly about being too quick to report people for "being funny".
Just because someone thinks it's funny to themselves (and checks forum rules to see if you can be banned for being "funny"), doesn't make it funny to me or to anyone else who actually get offended by it.
I know it's because I'm a female, there's no ifs, ands or butts about it. People give me extra crap just to try and get a rise out of me. And yes, if I find it offensive, I will do something about it.
I also understand that there's not that many females that post here, and I'm starting to see why. Almost daily people tend to e-mail me asking for photos, to join their teamspeak, IRC or whatever. It's getting annoying because I know if I was a male, people wouldn't even bother with the time or day to write an e-mail.
So enough is enough already. I'm not a bitch, I'm just doing what I'm suppose to... not let asshats walk all over me.
So let it be heard now and here. Stop being jerks.

If anyone knows anything about sexual harassment in the work place... you can get fired for a LOOK. Yes boys. If you look at a girl or someone a wrong way and they feel like it's wrong, you can get canned.

Here's a good definition of the word harassment:

I'm not you. That's the neat thing about being me. We're different. If I don't stand up and actually do something, that just shows people they can walk all over me and do it to other people, not just women.
People actually need to start doing more and stop offending less.

Relax. You're sitting primarily among teenagers, what did you expect? And don't forget that there is much humour out there that is blunt, crude, and straight to the point SO THAT IT'S FUNNY. It's intended so, even thought the person might not believe a single word. I say stuff I don't mean all the time. But I make it clear that I am joking, or at least I try to.
Do you think people need to use those emoticons a bit more so they make it clear when something when it's meant as a joke? And if they're being offensive, then it's time to educate them anyways.

I think my first account may be permanantly banned now. Apprantly the mods didn't like my sense of humor. I honestly think it's obvious when someone's telling a light-hearted joke and when someone's flaming, but clearly a lot of people can't..so yeah, I say it's safer just to act like good little boys and girls and not try to offend anyone.
After all, if there's one group of people who can handle such maturity, it's definitely the mmorpg players.

Back on subject, I've never seen someone draw so much attention to her sex, and then be so offended when people react negatively to it, and all the creeps come crawling out of the woodwork. Here's a newsflash for you, there's alot of girls on this forum, and none of them seem to have the problems you are having with the community. Maybe the problem is that you thought you'd be getting some kind of special treatment because you're a girl, and you're offended by the fact that we really couldn't care less.

One thing I wonder is why does she keep bringing up people "walking all over her"? It's not like that, maybe that's how you percieve it...
And another thing, try as you might, you cannot change the way other people act. But what you can control is your own perspective of the way they act.
You are the ultimate decision maker for what kind of mood you are in, not others.

A woman can make up any damn thing they want to get someone they don't like fired. Now I don't think all males are angels. But not every look that comes a womans way is an advance either. All women have done with this harassment stuff is take a valid problem and turn it into a joke.
By the way vixenheart, this wasn't directed at you. I don't think I've read any posts by you. If you're getting harassed, I feel sorry for you. I do know how some males get when they are hiding behind a computer screen. I see stuff that offends me at times.
So I asked her Why exactly is it so offensive? Is it offensive that a person in this world beeps their horn to greet you? Is it offensive that Someone in the world thinks your are a beautiful young woman and is acknologing that fact with a simple beep of the horn? Is it soo offensive that someone thinks that you are beautiful?... She was like that's not the point its just not very polite... Anyways She got backup from a guy who worked with us so i backed out peacefully... THE VERY NEXT DAY she comes into work complaining about how some idiot beeped her while she was walking to work... 10 minutes later the guy comes in and is like "Hey I saw you today And i beeped but i guess you didn't see me" ... I then turned to her and was like... How does it feel to feel like an idiot... Needless to say she was besides herself....
Tonnes of girls take things to the extreme.. Now by contrast There are alot of guys out there who DO mean the bad things they say.... Or do not have the best intensions.. But for the most part.. we are people first... men second... So treat us with some respect...

Aldaron, is right (his whole post, not just the quote). I been here long enough to know this, but I do remember very, very well you had the same offensive behavior to members just as Djin did. Usually when people get offensive to you, you would actually flip out.
I don't know what goes on with you and the internet on a daily basis, but usually strong women can shrug simple stuff like this off their sholders. All you have to do is walk or look away from the situation. It's not just you that this happens too, but a lot of members and females who are on the internet. I don't know if your taking out your problems on us or what, but it sure does seems like it.
If your having problems with sexual harrassment in the workplace, report it. A working of mine just got fired today for harrassing a casheer (he asked if he could "finger her" sometime) and he was also lazy and asking people to buy sigs for him (he's underage). This is not your workplace, so we don't need to be educated on it as if we are the type of people who would cuase a real case of sexual harassment.
If people ask you for photos, join teamspeak or whatever, just say NO. It's not a big of a deal and nothing to fuss up about. If they cause you enough problems, then you would obvisouly would know what to do.

It gets on my bad side that you would call us jerks. I see a lot of girls whom can handel jerks, but to call every guy here a jerk and educatue us in all the things that happend to you is not the right thing to go about things. That is like a girl being hit on a guy she dosen't like and then tells everybody that "guys are jerks", instead of telling the single guy that he is a jerk. That is how this feels to me, that you are basicly calling all of us jerks and not settling your problem with the ones whom are anoying you.
This is not how anyperson should deal with their problems. Don't complain or educate us, but if you need help we can give it...but this is far beyond help.
No offence, this is not like I'm doing this becuase your a female, but I have encountered many things like this and it really gets on my nerves.
