End game = Raiding?

I need an answer to this for every game I look at.  If the answer is yes, I move on.  I'm tired of the end games being ceaseless raiding of the same content ad nauseum.

The Q&A on Warcry gave some good examples of PvP end game.  Anyone have any insights on the PvE side?

The Chronicles of Spellborn has some very interesting End Game features. Besides High level content such as Shard conquest, there will be regular content updates that will further enlarge the world and deliver exciting new challenges for players.

Weapons, skills and jewelry can be slotted with unique sigils to further specialise them. These Sigils come in different ranks, with the 2 highest ranks (Rank 9 and 10) only available to players at the current maximum level (level 50). This means that even at the highest level players can still work on reslotting their items and skills with unique End Game sigils.

    I hope this info helps.

The devs have promissed that for pve you will never need a bigger group then 8. Only pvp will feature bigger battles then that. I don't know what they're exactly planning for pve endgame though.

It does help, Freeze, tyvm.  Aphex's comment about group size speaks volumes as well.  Anything to differentiate a game in the current MMO space is extremely important.  Shard conquest certainly will be interesting and I look forward to learning more about it.

What types of activities would a max level character perform to obtain these L9-10 sigils?  That might shed some more light on my area of concern.  Not looking for specific answers, just directionally accurate ones.

Raiding is pretty much always done for gear....... if not for the gear i doubt a lot of players would put up with it.

There is no gear in Spellborn, so i can t see how they would do raiding either heh.

Well, they could do it to get those Sigils that Freeze posted about...  But that would be lame to all the people who don't want to raid, like me.

I heard that this game will be lore oriented, which probably means that there will be a lot of interesting quests to do, even in endgame.
And I read on their official forums that there will be no raids (or they will be kept to minimal number).

I'm very glad to hear this won't be raid oriented at endgame. That was the whole reason I dropped WoW. Getting there with all different kinds of class/race combinations was fun but once you hit 60 the enjoyment level dropped rapidly. This one sounds like you will be able to continue with the fun parts.  for that!

Yea the raiding in wow was ridiculous...grinding through endgame bosses to get better gear to do it all over again over and over.... HOW FUN

I am so excited that spellborn is making a stand against repeatable content.
