What does that really mean?

BTW, first lol.

Anyway, is this game more of a faction-based game?

Graphics are really nice.

I believe it is a faction game with a 3rd race of dragons to help balance out the factions should one of them become too dominant.

Quite frankly, of all the games I have seen on the horizon, this is the only one that has me "jazzed".  I very much want to get into the beta of this one.

I too want to get into beta but I am afraid of launch. Why? Because I am afraid of NcSoft and their habits with CS and money... Just look at Lineage 2... I played that game a lot thinking it was best and just thought that adena farmers/botting was such a minor problem, but suddenly I got hit in the face when someone asked me if I wanted to bot since I was struggling with leveling.

    NcSoft only wants money .

Oh, I don't know. I've been playing L2 for 2 years now and I've never needed to resort to botting. I just think that is for people who are a bit "too" competitive.

Also, I don't know one game that doesn't have problems with bots and farmers. Having said that, I think that NC is a bit arrogant.

They always seem to be a bit too hush on what upcoming content will be or how they are going to change the game.

There are other games/companies where they will discuss what they are testing.

With NC we always have to wait for fans to translate the korean information. This doesn't include Guild Wars as they seem to be very connected with their community. I think that is because NC didn't develop the game.

For me, the art design in the NC games really strikes a chord. Coupled with their battle animations, that makes for a very compelling game for me.

Also, and what I don't think people realize, Aion is "not supposed" to have the same "grinding mechanism" for levleing that Lineage 2 has (per the IGN preview).

NCSoft only wants Money? Are you kidding?

L2 and CoH/CoV have huge updates that have always been free, and Auto Assault I'm sure will follow in those foot steps.

If those games had been run by Sony you would have been slapped with having to buy an expansion pack for each of the 4 (soon to be 5) updates in L2 and the 8 issues of CoH/CoV

Yes I know they give free content update but who/when they choose to ban people is annoying.

You can EASILY tell someone that is namaed "Gkgkgkg" and does the same motions when delvling or fighting as "kffkfkL" is a bot...

You do not even have to compare, you just look at what they do.

I have reported so many bots and yet I have thought I have seen like 5 get banned but then I find them back like the next day.

They say they have to fully find out if botting or not but a monkey could tell if some of L2 players are bots or not..

I do like the way they are going with Guild Wars/Dungeon Runners though, a more of a casual game where I don't think it is neccessary to bot.

Some of them aren't bots, some are sweatshop players making 50 cents for each million they sell.

    Botting is never neccessary

Okay maybe instead of saying botting, I should have said cheating.

I never botted but I felt so behind which is why I quit L2....

But unless you can devote 18 hours a day to a game, there will always be those far ahead of you who choose to revolve their lives around it, cheating or no cheating. I really do wish that every MMO developer would take more of a stand against farming and botting, as its end result is hurting the community and bringing in the kind of people that I don't want to play next to. But I do understand that not everyone can be stopped so in the end I just have to focus on what I'm doing and try my best to ignore the guy next to me who bought his character on ebay.

/and restrains the urge to strangle him

Anyways, as for Aion, it looks pretty and I like the theme, but until I see more information on combat and the core mechanics of the game I'll remain indifferent about it.

NcSoft has always done a great job on updating or fixing known bugs I played Lineage2 for nearly 1,5year and yes bots are half-present in-game but who cares I can just take my dagger and stab them to death..:)

Yeah, it seems to be a half baked idea if one side may become too unbalanced, but I guess it can easily work. Besides, with its "Angels vs Demons" idea, I can see depending on the audience that one side will be much more popular than the other.

    EDIT

Velika: City of Wheels: Among the mortal races, the humans were the only one that never built cities or great empires; a curse laid upon them by their creator, Gidd, forced them to wander as nomads for twenty centuries...
