I used to love Warhammer Online. I didn't even know this revamp even existed.

I think I'm one of the few people that loved the PVE aspect of the game, didn't get to do much because everyone was in the PVP battlegrounds.
Sig so that badges don't eat my posts.

This is one of those games I thought deserved more love. Had no idea there was a revival

One of the worst MMOs I've ever played.

The one innovation this game has that I haven't seen done elsewhere is the dual targeting. That is you can simultaneously maintain a friendly target and a hostile target. It allows for interesting gameplay like the shaman could do damage to his hostile target and leech health to his friendly target which didn't have to be himself. I loved my little shaman. I was always jealous of the OP warrior priests, thought, that were supposed to be our equal but seemed to dominate us in every way. More damage more healing more armor. Oh well. Balancing is not easy.

I really liked this game too, was a lot of fun, but I don't think I could go back to it now

You are not the only one. There is more of us.

Expect to be treated as dirt on this server though. I mean, it's their server, their resources, their rights to do anything within confines of law. Their rules.

But don't expect a welcoming experience. Especially if you are (more of) a PvE player. Which experience is just awesome in WAR, very underrated and constantly dismissed. Sure, it's not WoW, but it was fun. And very, very memorable. Especially if you like Warhammer Fantasy.

It's the main reason I left. The community is pretty rough. Lots of cross realm players screw up the pvp too. Not a lot of fun unless you flip flop like they do. I have seen entire warbands vanish and like magic the other side gets another. Pretty sad it was a dud when it was live I miss it. This emu server is like pretty much all of them, admin abuse and play favorites.

Honestly, WAR's PvE is VERY FUN when x2 xp / influence is turned on. And some of those Epic Quests are quite memorable. Even in their half implemented RoR state.

I mean, RoR team has done quite a lot for WAR, but what's that worth with a community like that?

They play a very large role in the community they have acquired.

Depends what sort of role it is, but that can be a big issue or a big boon.
