We loved The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, but there was room for improvement. So here are five things that Nintendo can do in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom that would greatly improve the game and two things that would actually make it worse.

    I agree about the dungeons. While I'm more than fine with having durability, I didn't like how breath of the wild did it. It wasn't fun and was just annoying and tedious. At least make the weapon last a little longer. Or else make it so that they can be repaired with some type of cost.

    I think having Korok seeds tied to inventory is fine. This, to me, is players being their own worst enemy. Instead of thinking "oh! I found korok seeds, now I can get an inventory upgrade it's "I need an inventory upgrade, where are korok seeds!!!!"

    Am I alone in thinking Tears of the Kingdom is just an excellent title name? Title alone almost makes me want to buy it and I dont even own a switch.

    I have not played a Nintendo game on one of their consoles since the Game Cube. I get they blew up with the Switch but I just dont get it. How could they have made this a better game? 1440p or 4k. HDR or Dolby Vision. Update Graphics that fit the last decade. An install foot print of 80+ GB. Their console sales are way down and I think their area of being the cute console is just outdated.

    This is an area they could kill it with profits. Also a real way to lower people emulating their products.

    Said it before and will say it again. Switch as a console sucks. It is super nice to have a device you can bring with you as well as play from the couch on, but not to be able to even get 30 fps in these types of games is just sad. I got surprised that it releases today, but I am not sure if I will buy it for the fact that I need to play it on the Switch.

    I would love to see Nintendo offer a channel service for Xbox. Let me subscribe to the Nintendo channel and play a list of classic and core titles for free and offer purchases tied to my Nintendo account that I can play through the service or on Switch. Thinking of a Prime Video setup here.

    Previous generations of Nintendo games never felt as held back by the hardware as the Switch does to me.

    Nintendo has ported some games to Xbox. I would be fine with waiting 6-12 months for ports to Xbox or PC. Sony has made the jump to PC and more games are coming, so it must be doing something good for Sony.

    What games has Nintendo ported to Xbox? I see some third party publishers that were either Sony or Nintendo exclusive, like Octopath, now on Xbox, but I can't find a list of first party Nintendo titles.

    The Switch is the third most sold console of all time, only bested by the DS (Nintendo once again) and the Playstation 2. Out of that top three the Switch is also the only one still selling, pretty well even. It beat both Sony and Microsoft last generation and their ‘last gen’ console is still rocking hard. Three consoles in the top five of all time are from Nintendo, two from Sony and zero from Sega or Microsoft. Reading most of the above comments make me wonder if people actually know what they are talking about, Nintendo has pretty much always been the one to beat in the console world, not the other way around. Even with failures like the WIIU they keep making tremendous comebacks dominating the space over and over again. I do think it is time for a new Nintendo console somewhere late 2024/early 2025 and am curious what they will be coming up with.

    A good game is a good game btw, no matter how powerful the hardware, a good game also doesn’t automatically become a better game because of 4k textures, motion blur etc. That is a ridiculous notion. Like claiming ‘only the latest movies being good because they have the best special effects’ ridiculous.

    And that WIIU? Its still plugged in next to my Switch, series X and PS5.

    'This does not apply just to ED but SC or any other game. What they will get is Rebirth/X4, likely prettier but equally underwhelming and pointless. 

    It is incredibly difficult to design some meaningfull leg content that would fit a space ship game - simply because it is not a leg game.

    It is just huge resource waste....'
