I'm new to this website, and I was trying to find out more about beta testing because I'd really like to be a part of it. are there any general tips anyone could give me about finding any information about doing beta testing? at this point, any shred of help that could point me in a better direction would really help me out. thanks.

yep, go to our posts on beta tests, go to the links, and sign up.
Search on google for beta testing sites, and sign up for betas you see.
Other than that, just some common sense always helps as well.
