    That's kind of been my whole hangup with this entire game. Stuff will be fun for a while and then getting into the 'routine' of it just makes me end up uninstalling soon after.

    I don't understand how this game is still #11 most played game on Steam. I tried playing it and I've been playing cheap Asian F2P MMOs since around 2007. This one I could not like, I hated the top-down camera, the walled off world that feels like a series of pipes, the way controls are, the gender-locked classes, it just feels so cheap and boring to me. I have no idea why still so many people play it.

    The only explanation I have is sheeple and groupthink - a lot of people play it so a lot more play it only because a lot more are playing it and it's a snowballing effect with some people not even knowing why are they playing it. I know someone like this who plays games based on their popularity, not because he likes them. Very weird.

    You just come off as one of "those" people with comments like that. The type that just can't wrap their heads around the idea some people like things, that they don't, which is what Sovrath would have surely meant.

    There is nothing objectively wrong with an isometric game, and the controls were pretty good, you just didn't like either.

    Some games have classes, some have characters, and some combine the two. Lost Ark is the third one, as while each aren't outright named characters, they have set back stories, and some will have family members you can encounter, which is something characters would have, not classes.




    There's a lot wrong with the game, which is why I, and most others quit, but the issues you brought up are subjective, pretty shallow, show your lack of understanding, and how you seem to think everyone should have the same views you do. There's lots of types of games, as not everyone likes the same things.

    The fact you don't like isometric games, but still apparently downloaded, and played Lost Ark, which looking at any image, or video of game play would have shown you is an isometric game, would seem to show you're the one that is a "sheeple." I like such games, so I tried Lost Ark, I just didn't end up liking this one.

    This is the correct answer.  Up to 75% of the active accounts are bots now.  D4 is going to hit that game hard in the West imo.

    I played it. Game is pretty decent. The combat is actually pretty good and the Raids have been one of the best I've played. I mean its not just tank and hit. There is strategy needed to be done at the right moment , else its a wipe.

    ...but, it is too repetitive. You need alts to "survive". And by alts, I mean at least 3. I have some friends where they have like 20+ alts. And the updates are literally the same dungeons/instances as before, but with a different "paint", except Raids.

    Its not..consistent. Its more of a HUB game than a MMO. You barely go into the "world" and, when I played, the very big Sea was literally for nothing, except several Islands where you needed to do them for mats ( 1 time ), and that's it. Never to step foot again.

    But yea! I understand why people like it and dislike it. Seems you need to also understand people who like it and not only the ones who dislike it.

    ..I don't like LOTRO. And I don't call that popular, like Heroes 3. But hey, I understand why people like it!

    Get the game from GOG.com. Get the free HD mod for proper resolution support. Don't buy the version on Steam, because it's neutered and lacks content.

    YES! I saw that so purchased from GoG. Not only does it  have the dlc but it was MUCH cheaper.
