There is a major issue with MMORPGs like these which are in a never-ending state of early access, which is that as soon as the game releases, some people know EXACTLY what they need to do in order to get where they need to be as fast as possible. There is no adventure what so ever, as everything is already planned out. That's what I miss the most with games not releasing _finished_. Like the Darkfall Online release. It sure wasn't finished, but everyone joined the experience on the same premise and that was hell lots of fun.

Well, we have always had beta's so this issue has always been with us, but the length of EA has stretched out way beyond a beta which was usually never more than a year. Two other factors have exacerbated the problem, wanting to sell in game items before launch has led to no full wipe or a partial one. Finally, the nature of many modern MMOs has a core gameplay that really favours those in the know, in the old days you just did quests and had time to learn as you played. Now in many MMOs you have to hit the ground running or play catch up with other players for regions, resources and such like.
