LMAO. There are weird spam ads here (I kinda miss the Dehli escort ads... remember those? They were a staple here for years) but a random steakhouse?

They were escort services but also sold passports, i.d. cards, and Rolex's. I remember those. lol
Yup. Those were the ones. If my MMO gaming ever took me from my home in the Pacific NW to India, I was ready and well informed lol.

What ads?
They took the spammer's post down very quickly. It was spam for the Longhorn Steakhouse although I can't verify that's really what it was since I don't click on those dodgy links.

Don't they realise that new Macs can't dual boot into Windows? Bootcamp doesn't work on M1 Macs
They do realize it. They are also not the first to stop support for the new ARM-based Macs. ESO did it a year and half ago. Here's a link to their rationale for doing so from the game's director:

That's because they never had a true Mac Client, but used the WINE emulation to run on x86 MacOS.
WINE no longer works on the new Apple M1 Macs and Emulation from X86 to ARM will have much more significant performance impact.
So they only have two choices. Create a real Mac client (with ARM support) (very expensive and simply not worth it) or terminate MacOS support.
People simply don't buy Mac's for gaming. Even the Intel based Mac's were never good for gaming to begin with, even with Bootcamp. So the gamer population on Macs is just really low compared to Console and PC market. Not worth investing tons of time and money in creating and maintaining a native Mac client.
At least with the x86 Macs, it was fairly easy and inexpensive to do with the WINE emulator.
LOTRO works perfectly in Crossover (basically the “pro” version of WINE) on both Intel and Apple SOC Macs. I’ve been playing for nearly two years, nearly all of that using Crossover in versions of MacOS from Mojave through Monterey. Under Mojave and earlier versions of MacOS with 32-bit support, the game will run well using the more recent open-source versions of WINE. The Mac Technical Support section of the official LOTRO forums has full details on all of this in many threads. If you try Crossover or open-source WINE but have trouble, post there and I will help you. My forum name there is Tralfazz.
