Some people claim if you used software auto clickers/macro programs simply to not afk out of the game you got caught in this ban wave but if used like keyboard or mouse macros you didn't get caught.
This is possible since IMO macros via mice and keyboard hardly ever get caught up otherwise anyone using corsair, logitech, razer mice etc would get banned all the time from games regardless of actually using macros or not.

Yeah that's what they said , they also said some people got banned due to using keys from g2a.
