Help - can't upload link images... what am I doing wrong?

I've tried both ibbg and imgur links.

Issue:  I hit the "add photo" icon, Url box pops open.  I put in the image url.  But, there is no next step to actually add it to the post.

I'm on mobile new Android phone.  Tried Chrome and Firefox browsers... both in mobile and desktop mode.

    From what I can remember, be sure the link you use is the direct link to the image. No extra fluff. For example when I use site https://imgbb.com to host a random Italian flag image, I have to select the option that gives you the link ending with .png.

    This is most likely the problem.

    You'll need to use link to an image file. You can recognize correct links because at the end they have . and then 3-4 letters telling that image's format: .gif  .jpg  .png  or something similar. For example the link to that Italy flag is: https://i.ibb.co/wSkzRXP/italy.png

    If your link does not end like this, then you're trying to link a webpage with an image on it which does not work. You need to link the image, not a webpage with image.

    Thanks.  You're right need a direct link with ".png" extension.

    Imgbb automatically converts my .png files to jpeg when I upload them... couldn't find an option to turn this off.

    Have an app to convert jpg to png.. then using imgbox.

    I just right click, copy image, then control+v works.
