Crowfall launched in July, bringing the long awaited throne war PvP MMO to the market. However, since launch its felt like it's been hard for the PvP MMO to keep pace with the other releases this year. Well, ArtCraft Entertainment is hoping its latest update, as well as its new free trial model will help draw in players who have been interested in seeing what its all about, but hesitant to drop in.

Without playing it is hard to say but could the smaller number of players needed for keep sieges mean bigger battles die out? Can large guilds now conduct two small sieges at the same time for more rewards than one large one? That's the sort of issue you need to watch out for.
Good to see they are looking at the problems and taking some action, but it will be a long haul.
We don't expect questions leading to a gaming Watergate, just nice to get opinions outside of the spin cycle.

When exactly is too late? How do you know this point has not been crossed already?
Pretty obvious this game will go f2p, what's the point of slow walking it. They should be using this opportunity to make a big splash. If the Devs would look out a month or two ahead they could get ahead of these obvious shortcomings.
Maybe they are reserving the f2p announcement for another press release down the road.
According to MMO populations they still have 6k people playing. I think Albion got down to like 400, so maybe there is still hope for this. Not sure how reliable that info is thou.
Cause they want to squeeze a few more dollars out of people while they can...
These guys had Albion as an example and weren't smart enough to use it to their advantage...
I have MANY lvl 33 & 34 and can tell you after all the hours it took me to get those built up it wasn't worth my time... Crafting and gathering was worth it though...
Their lack of any stable plan and what seems like a complete lack of awareness when it comes to what gamers want + laziness is what made me quit. When I quit I didn't log in ever again... it was like leaving a somewhat unpleasant job..
When you look at how many employees they had and how little work was done for the game over the span of 5-6 years it makes me wonder wtf they were doing all that time and how they were even able to pay 70+ people..
The game is essentially a moba with extra stuff tacked on to make it seem like it isn't a moba. The extra customization is basically like artifacts in mobas. One can counter another etc etc... If you go against a team with higher leveles(like in moba) with all the right artifact combos(like in moba) you lose(like in moba).
If I could go back and change my playstyle what I would've done is bypass the pvp entirely because it's a pointless waste of life and instead just do crafting and gathering full-time. Do crafting and gathering full time NOT for my guild but for MYSELF and make a solo merchant guild with EK. All the hours I wasted doing pointless nightly mandatory guild pvp activities is my biggest regret for how I spent my time in the game.
Yeah man, you were right. Except at first you said 6 months ftp and shut down within a year. I consider freemium 'just the typ' ftp and I now agree with the 2nd part about the game shutting down in 1 year. ACE screwed up/didn't do enough for the game to recover unless they sell CF to another company to right the wrongs similar to how EG7 improved Daybreak games.
I assumed they were being sarcastic, no?

When I played in Beta, I made the note that the classes were not balanced, this was years ago, I made this point. The DAoC lovers came prancing in and hollering and hooting that the game became balanced with more players getting involved in the open world PvP, so, the balance existed in massive population, not in individual classes being balanced.
When Crowfall launched these same people that waxed poetically and fondly of a bygone time, now wanted small fights where the imbalance among the classes would stand out like a sore thumb, and not massive zergs where thing would balance out due to larger populations.
So who are they going to listen to?
Because lets be real.. no one seems to really know what the fuck to do.
Is a man not entitled to the herp of his derp?
Remember, I live in a world where juggalos and yugioh players are real things.
No game meet's everyone's expectations, but your game met everyone's expectations. Everyone just expected it to be dog shit!
It's an odd situation, because this is a PvP game, so, they need to set up the PvP to be as engaging and enjoyable as possible.
So every thing they do, that makes the PvP less enjoyable, is a demerit on their progress.
