During the Letter from the Producer Live livestream, Naoki Yoshida and the team at Square Enix presented the upcoming changes to Job Actions. While the Job Actions trailer itself only shows off some of the new abilities visually, Yoshida was able to explain them in detail on the stream.

    The patch live announcement was 8 hours long, longer than the past 20 blizzard patches combined. This is the reason it makes warcraft look like a trash indie company.

    With the changes to summoner we basically get 3 new classes. So far I really like what I see.

    It seems like every expansion they do an overhaul to Summoner. It really gets old after a while. The healers, except for Sage, look uninteresting. Healers are in short supply, and this doesn't make them look any better.

    I will have to see more of what they have done to Summoner before I decide to pick mine up again. The only other job I like is Black mage. I liked what I saw there. Maybe I will resub and grab this expansion. Have to see a bit more first.

    I do like how FFXIV showcases the changes in detail. If only all studios did this.

    the only thing that would bring me back is them making limited jobs playable in duty finder. I would love to main blue mage, and collect all the spells and abilitiies. Its been like several years now, and blue mage is still confined to pick up groups in party finder sub menu. They also said they would add more limited jobs, which never happened.

    Man the MNK changes look great. Idk if I'll be going back to FFXIV any time soon though....just got sick of how instanced (and how every instance is a hallway) the game is. It's more of a lobby-game then WoW even!

    Scholar got screwed hard; they're easily the most underwhelming and boring healer (though all healers have to spam 1-button dps nearly constantly already).
