Is there a /bannedfromMMORPG one yet, just in case we all get put in the dust bin?
Is that even possible? I mean how many bans have Wizardry and especially Gdemami eaten now?
Unless you're actively engaging in hate speech, the site softballs the hell out of you. And frankly, even then, you're probably going to stick around for a while.
Bill made it clear in a recently closed (Blizzard?) thread tolerance for posters who have tread the line with regards to disparaging other groups of people particularly with regards to social mores was at an end and would result in firm and swift action.
I noticed that, though I hadn't caught the whole situation.

Hopefully it leads to better forum health.
It may as long as we get people to replace those going, which is an issue in any forum, they are seen as the old guard of social media, this just exacerbates it. Maybe a recruiting drive is needed to the healthier forums?

It really depends on the forum. This one probably needs a rebrand or a revitalization of the MMORPG genre.

The MMORPG genre has just been so stagnant for so many years...For the most part we either have discussed possible MMOs that may be several years away, MMOs that we would like to see, or MMOs that are several years old. Maybe it is time to just make it a gaming site and drop the MMORPG label?

The brand has recognisability that you would not want to loose, effectively the site is more gaming wide now which I think was a good idea, you don't need to change a name to do that.
I enjoy a lot of Japanese RPGs and games like Atelier that have their own forums on Reddit. I love how people share their art and ways they enjoy their games. It is a truly wonderful way to come together to celebrate the games we enjoy.
With the ability to make pottery some have even made small figurines of their favourite monsters. Who doesn't love the puni?

I think people just go to the the reddit for their specific game. Not sure what general game reddit people go to.
