Elden Ring actually exists and it's coming next year as was revealed today during Geoff Keighley's Summer Game Fest. Players can dive into the the world created by From Software and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin on January 21st, 2022.

    so he is done writing the first three zones just for the fourth zone to become split into two and then nothing more coming out until some remakes it and makes the two last zones a shit show.

    Dark Souls like. I can watch others playing on youtube. I am too old to play this, too slow so can watch if the story is good.

    Looks like dark souls 4 with new enemies and sfx combats. Exactly what I want and need. January 2022 can’t come soon enough.

    Not sure I can explain it, but the graphics look terrible to me. I'm very disappointed. Just hoping it is the footage and the game itself will seem better.

    As someone who casually enjoyed GoT, I have to say George R.R. Martin is vastly over-rated and having his name on a game does not entice me to play it in the slightest.

    At least see the bright side. Will be finished at the same time as.. SC ( Star Citizen ). Maybe a bit earlier than SC if Martin will have some ...inspiration.

    How so? It's another Souls game, which is awesome, but hardly "groundbreaking".

    EXACTLY!, I'm glad I wasn't the only one to see this obvious TRUTH!
    I'm definitely neither seeing nor hearing anything special, unique, etc. here. Nothing-at-all exciting here. Just shows how desperate People are for something at-all worth maybe playing.

    Or maybe we're just not precious? 

    I'm sure the new will be in the story. Maybe it will have expanded game play, who knows.

    They have a tried and true formula that I bet will be tweaked a bit.

    I mean, sekiro and bloodborne are within their formula but are different enough. I bet this will be along those lines. 

    Similar things and different things.

    being slow with hard games have never stopped me from enjoying them. If i put together all the times i stopped before an encounter in souls games to think about all the possible outcomes and to make sure I don't screw up and die (or at least not die as much), i'd have enough time to finish other games.

    My advice is to just play them slowly. I remember spending more time in a single area (just to not die) than i've spent in some games entirely. I enjoy these games at a slow pace and take long to finish, and the end is quite satisfying.

    I think I used the wrong word here I meant my reactions are slow. I play slow too but these souls-like game defeat me because I'm unable to actually hit any key before I'm horribly dead. I tried playing on my cousin's Dark Souls game and failed very fast. The combat is just way out of my league. Some people just cannot react fast enough and I have just accepted that and if I like a game I watch it on youtube. No harm no foul since it saves me some cash too  B)
