t's been a little over two years since the last time I took Deacon St. John for a joyride in the freaker filled mountains of a post Zombie-apocalyptic Oregon. Originally released on the PlayStation 4 in 2019, Days Gone returns for a second ride by becoming the second first party PlayStation exclusive released for PC. How does the experience hold up?

My biggest peeve is they had to throw in those stupid looking somersaults, that turns me off more than you know.
One concern i had was how open ended is the gameplay and what is there to do besides shoot zombies.I also wonder about the in between hubs action.
Another concern was key mapping is a must.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Weapons are the same: Use the wheel to select the default weapon in a specific group (main, side, special) then use keys to equip that item when you need it. Selecting is done by mouse-click once the wheel is brought up and time slows to almost-but-not-quite a standstill while you're in the wheel.
There are basic melee combos (ie, forward swing followed with a back swing) and I've seen a third follow-up overhead but that may be a killing blow animation as individual basic enemies go down fast.
Fuel is easy, there are always gas cans laying around the POI's and they will respawn if you leave the immediate area and return. At first your tank is small (but still plenty big enough to get you around without having to stop at every POI you cross) and it can be upgraded.
The bike has weight but still handles nicely and feels good to drive, even with keyboard driving controls. I have yet to loose control and it certainly handles better than vehicles do in a typical Ubisoft joint.
Scrap is easy enough to get. There are abandoned cars all over the place and you'll end up leaving more behind than using. If you mainly play melee and find a weapon you want to keep then repairing it will also use up scrap so then you may have to scrounge more often. The bike itself is very resilient (much more so than a real bike) as long as you respect it and don't try to play the game like Borderlands. Its health and performance can be upgraded as well.
I did play on normal and can't speak to scrap/fuel supplies on different difficulties.
