Is there any way to hide the disgusting anime-soft-porn pictures on MMORPG.com?

As the title says, I'm disgusted with the soft-core porn cartoons on the MMORPG home page. Young girls with gigantic boobs spilling out of their clothes. Short-short skirts. Skin tight swimsuits. I'm sure there are plenty of other websites for those who like to look at these types of pictures.

Is there any way to turn them off?

    However, I am not tempted. I know how to get to real porn sites if that is what I want.

    I come to MMORPG.com to read about games, gamers, game finances, technical developments as they relate to games, etc.

    But am bombarded by suggestive pictures of young girls in skimpy outfits.

    Honestly, I find this to be the wrong way to go about things. Because once you are tempted, you actually get destroyed completely. That's why I don't agree with celibacy. A very honorable sacrifice, but completely unnatural imo.

    Post a list of the games you don't like so the staff can remove them from the site too...

    Or maybe you can just ignore what you don't like and go straight to the topics of your interest. By the way, those pictures you are talking about are from a video game, not from porn. They don't show on my browser anyway.

    I never used to use an adblocker until they started using that floating video ad that would follow you around the screen. Just get that if you need to.

    Thanks all, adblocker in Firefox did the trick. I normally wouldn't bother, and like to support web sites.

    You aren't alone. Seeing the ads this morning finally motivated me to install an adblocker, something I should have done long ago. As an adult gamer, I have zero problem with ads. As a father, I don't need these particular ads, which means axing all ads on the site for me.

    Edit: uBlock Origin on Chrome seems to be very effective.

    When I see ads like that, what with it being such a base form of appeal, all I can think is that the game design is the same way. 
    Plus cash shops with more base appeal to drive sales. 
    So I don't even look at those games. I move on and dream of Raph Koster's depth of game design.

    Yep there are signals that should set off telling you to skip right over a game.
    Stuff like "WE HAVE RAIDS"
    "5 million players"
    ""Cosmetic items"
    I lump ads like that into one giant heap of crap.
    So the way i look at all the ads is that if the develoepr cannot formulate some sentences telling us why their game is great>>>it must NOT be very good.So they instead stoop to lowball tactics also using ideas like "FREE REWARDS"login NOW !!.

    And here I was about to say "Go Incognito" when you are looking at the actual porn, that will eliminate those kinds of adverts.

    As for the Soul Worker advert.. dude.. if that offends you, I am legit gonna say MMO's might not be a good gaming platform for you, as a lot of MMO's are coming from the Eastern Market, and that is the kind of graphics they have.

    What's sad is these type of things actually lure in young men........I never understodd how anyone could like anime but alot of people do. I can understand Pikachu and that kind of anime but not sexualizing little girls.

    I like anime in general. I don't even mind some of the sexualization, when it makes sense. The little girl thing is a trope that I hate seeing, as well as running gags about breast size and the overall harem mentality a lot of anime express. If it were just one or two anime's with them, it would be one thing, but these tropes run deep within a whole buncha different shows. 

    Like any good story, romance has its place, but the weird calls for fan service in just about every show can kinda kill the spirit of a show with some otherwise good ideas. 

    But like the gaming industry, if it wasn't popular, they wouldn't do it...

     Im a nerd and a geek, but never liked comics, never liked anime, i dont like the imaging and the sexualization of the girly stuff. It is disgusting and cheap and it pretty much makes me think the game is the same.

    Sexualization is such a low life cheap way to advertise anything. Show me a real game with real complexity not some BS sexualization stuff.

    I'm an old school Geek/Nerd, where I read comic books growing up, and Every Male was this Buff Dude in a speedo and skin tight body suit, and all the Females were wearing, pretty much the same thing, but with more "Skin" color showing.

    Love me Comics, I enjoy the current trend with Anime, as to me it is just another art style to enjoy, no different in my book from enjoying the transition from golden age comics to the edgy art of the 90's, the dark noir style, even the massive diversity of art styles in web comics these days.. all of which are something to appreciate the artistic talents of those that make this.

    So for me, this is more like witnessing evolution of art styles in action, as opposed to anything negative, I am find is fascinating. 

    Personally, I rather an MMO have a more cartoonish style to it, that way the graphics can age much better, than trying to be cutting edge realism, I absolutely adore the art of Crowfall for that very reason.

    But again, to each their own.
