New Blog detailing future direction for Pirates of the Burning Sea

Used to play this game back in the day, back when it was under SOE. It seems to have been gone through some choppy waters, but is now under Vision Online games, a new company, who intend to put the game back on the map.

Just wanted to share with you guys a dev blog they posted recently https://www.burningsea.com/en-US/dev/5. Major changes coming to the game, as well as plans for a legacy server.

Next year will be interesting for this game, it definitely has a long ways to go but with a future steam / windows store release on the horizon and retooling of the game mechanics to fit a more modern audience, it sounds like good things are in store.

Just a note to all, they've introduced a new launcher (talked about in the blog) that requires you to redownload the game.

After the download you can delete the old PotBS program as only the new version will now be used.   None of this will effect your characters.

    SWG (pre-cu) - AoC (pre-f2p) - PotBS (pre-boarder) - DDO - LotRO (pre-f2p) - STO (pre-f2p) - GnH (beta tester) - SWTOR - Neverwinter

Or check in for yourself at the game's discord.  The DEVs are active on it as they answer questions and help new player issues.
