    Lets face it, Gatcha is a dubious revenue system, MMOs eventfully pick up every dubious revenue system there is. Most recently 'we don't need to go early access but we will' and 'the game is funded by a company but we will crowd fund anyway'.

    The game could survive very well without pets and mounts. Not sure if it is a NEED situation as much as a welcomed addition

    although it is a very cool zelda style game, genshin STILL BE A MOBILE GAME (nickel hunt !!!) where you have reasonable rewards at the beginning, after paying for content, however I am a F2P player I never spent any cents, ALMOST every my personsages are in lv80 with weapons of the same level (4 stars) with AR40 + just making diaries and achievements (I already have 130 achievements, most of which are random quests).

    in short, judging Genshim Impact as an MMO is a mistake!
    WITHOUT DOUBT better rewards would be great!
    but considering it is a CELELAR game, Genshin Impact requires MUCH LESS MONEY and CHANGES from players to get paid content WITHOUT SPENDING REAL MONEY!
    The game is available in a few months, I think not even 3 months, and has more than 50hrs of exploration and fun, where in those 50hrs you will not even think without worrying about rewards because the game content is very abundant.

    The ONLY positive thing MMOs can take from Genshin Impact is its physics/elemental interactions. That shit is cool. Coincidentally, that shit is also cribbed almost wholesale from Breath of the Wild.

    The business model and the preset characters can fuck off.

    It's funny how many are simply ignoring what OP posted and going straight to bashing Gacha. Not saying you're wrong (in fact you're right), but that's not the point of this thread.

    There are so many anime styles from a visual standpoint alone. Death Note looks nothing like Fullmetal Alchemist. Fullmetal Alchemist looks nothing like Dragonball Z. Dragonball Z looks nothing like Avatar the Last Airbender (which, yes, is anime). That looks nothing like a Ghibli film. And so on and so forth. 

    And then there's genre. There's action, slice of life, harem, horror, mystery, fantasy, science fiction, just like any other medium.

    So yes, saying all anime is bad makes you look like an idiot, thanks.

    Speaking of anime have you seen the Netflix Dragon's Dogma?
    Stunning animation.
    I love the art in that series. 
    Will look out for that one, many on NF are very teen (which is fair enough) so I struggle to identify with them. Blood of Zeus (which may be just as teen :) ) has caught my imagination though, a love of Greek Myths plus anime is hitting the spot.

    I love the art in that series. 
    I have watched it in full, and it is aggressively okay with really mixed animation quality. Often the humans will look very good, and then the dragon appears and it's hilarious.

    Now, Castlevania, on the other hand, is a masterpiece of animation.

    I saw both of those, they're okay. Both are pushed more towards "mature" instead of "teen" though, like Castlevania was. 

    If you haven't watched it Scissor 7 is a pretty awesome anime. Very different art style too, silly... but awesome action. My kinda show.

    This game is a masterpiece and I encourage anyone who has doubts to play it. Don't spend any money, just experience the world, dialogue, and combat until the completion of the first arc. If you aren't convinced, I will buy you a brand new game of your choice. The games biggest flaw is the monetization, but outside of that, it is very polished and has more potential than any game I have played in a decade.

    If I am not convinced, I am going to put myself down for Star Citizen, don't worry you won't have to pay up until 2025 the way things are going. :)

    Well, we'll see. I usually hold my expectations in check and take it on its own merit.

    But then again, and this is entirely my issue, I tend to approach stuff like this as a 10 year old boy.

    So there's very little I won't clap my hands together in joy and go "tee hee awesome!"

    (though there is some, and it's usually reallllly bad.)
