How about, starting with the streamers, like staysafe, who keept killing his own faction. By letting a horde view mind contole them.

I'm old enough to say that MMO's, in my humble opinion, require active GM moderation. People out in the world handling these sort of things, at all times. Oh hey, and maybe run an event or two.

I really wonder how MMORPG genre survived this long without active moderation. Oh well i guess every MMO except some like wow died along the way cause of this issue ( at least this reason was one of the biggest).

They've survived by limiting player interaction.

It's down to what kind of people play the said MMO/servers. In Blizzard's WoW Classic case, all the human trash came out of the woodwork to play it. Private servers on the other hand are populated by the more sensible and down-to-earth players and there is no need for such moderation at all.

Also I think back in the 2000s, people were more normal and were approaching MMOs and the rest of said MMO's community in a more civil way, it's kinda ironic that people wanted official Blizzard Vanilla WoW to relive their memories when only a fraction of those people remained normal human beings and the majority devolved into human trash dead set to turn everything they get involved with into a cesspit.

The only solution to this is an authoritarian one and will never happen - have every person who registers for an account go through tests with an AI to determine their personality and IQ, if they don't pass the test due to low IQ or being sociopaths, they are denied an account and can't play. Then each month the tests is repeated for existing users to determine if they were faking it during registration or not and this is how you root out the human trash out of the game, also means about 10% of the people that want to play will actually be able to. And also that will never happen, because a corporation like Activision B-division are doing it only for the money, that's why they will let anybody in and will then try to maintain order with actions such as this one that will hardly fix anything permanently, only patch things up.

I saw through Activision B's scam about Classic back in October 2019 - they don't care about recreating the experience, they only want the money so I quit and deleted my Bnet account. I suggest anyone who wants to relive the Vanilla WoW experience, to seek it on private servers, I won't name any, it's your job to find them if you're interested. The community on the private servers is more normal human beings and you can even meet people that can become your friends for life.

IMHO, as the old guard left the building, Activision Blizzard changed forever.  The only thing that matters now is profit over last year to keep stock holders happy.
