    Cursed.... is not a great tv show. half of the time watching it I cringe and quite a lot.

    I am not joking when I say that in twenty years time I expect all games to be tied into TV franchises, films and music albums. All entertainment will be supported, linked or have a cross over with multiple other forms of entertainment.

    This will take the form of continual multiple "guesting" where other forms of entertainment have some presence in games and games have some presence in the shows. Supposedly it is all right for Cursed to drop on BDO like this, how long before BDO drops in on Cursed? We have already seen games based on TV shows, in the future every TV show will have it's own game. It may just be a simple mobile spin off, but they will all have one.

    The interdependency of entertainment as I think of it marches on and is driven by such big beasts as branding, IP recognition and in house promotion. This process is leading to a watering down of lore, background, the integrity of the writing. But who cares? Fancy being a Dalek in BDO or seeing one turn up in Cursed? Give it twenty years and your wish may come true.

    You don't really "have to play" it that way. I slowly but surely buy better gear each time and can now buy a Tet Boss weapon.

    If one wants to play on the cutting edge, sure. But if one wants to enjoy the game on their own terms you don't have to do a lick of RNG. Heck, I gave up on that years ago. Just sell everything I get, including what you get for celebrations, daily rewards and eventually you can afford better gear. Just takes patience and playing the game in a differen way.

    Im over 35 and quite enjoying watch Cursed. Not the best, not really what I really like but not that bad and ways better than watch the news about BLM and covid these days or many series. Usually I dont like netflix series but that one is not that bad. Also just started BDO mobile on pc I have to say thats ok as well.

    The thing is the shows and games would have to do a lot better in the future on executing the cross-content

    right now - BDO and Cursed is just an obvious marketing cross-promotion. 

    BDO has nothing to do with Arthurian lore - the game is set in a completely different universe and lore, the crossover with Cursed is just a marketing ploy to get the teen audience that like Cursed into BDO. Cursed may get a few BDO players to watch the show.

    They should promote BDO in Las Vegas at all the casinos - because its as close to a gambling mmo as you are gonna get

    Like with like is preferable, but when an actor in Cursed is wearing a BDO jacket or uses BDO terminology for some "powers" seen in Cursed it will all be seen as good. Not by all the viewers, but as long as viewers don't switch of they won't care if their are objections.

    Very talented lead actress wasted on this show. She carries the show almost single handed. I don't mind that it's aimed at teens - a lot of TV fantasy shows are.

    All those GoT comparisons are also silly as hell and smell of GoT withdrawal desperation.

    Tween Drama can be ok, usually pretty mindless veg out watching, i like The 100 and Riverdale. Love the 100 though where only good looking young people who break the law get sent to prison (or the ultra dangerous planet surface) Old guy kills half the crew, his punishment, go sweep the floor.
