A Prediction

I pre-ordered this game even though my interest in these sorts of games has really waned.
If I had to give a reason for placing an order it wouldn't be because of the hype, the graphics, the game play, or the story.

Unfortunately, it would be simply because I'd like to own a title with sufficient financial backing.

Anyways, onto my prediction - I'm going to go way out on a limb here and guess that this game (1) will have grossly over powered ranged fighters.

I don't know why that happens but in every MMORPG I've played a melee class fighter will typically get smoked by a ranged fighter.  Add magic to that and it gets even worse.  I don't know why, but for some reason developers never seem to really consider the advantage of range.  A ranged fighter can often smoke a melee fighter wearing nothing but his birthday suit and a grin.

Someone once told me to play the weakest class to start out, because after the first few rounds of "balancing" it likely will be the best.

That can be surprisingly effective strategy.
I've played off beat characters before - only to have it become FOTM with an update.

    I hate that.

As the game has physical based action, you can't simply target and mash the buttons, but you must aim, and the AI or players can dodge, roll to avoid your attacks and get in close to you.

Furthermore the skill tree opens up strategic shots, e.g. Leg Shot, Any leg shot slows target by 30% by 4 secs.  So you'll have to be skilled to pull off shots that usually are active skills.

I also usually go with the off-beat tactic. Although this will be different with everyone being able to use everything.

Honestly it’s the OP casters in every game, not as much the ranged types. It’s all just mage wars in mmos
This wouldn't be so bad if they had to work hard to get the power.
When the mage route is also the easiest route - that really sucks.
