Phosphor, School Addiction

Well I play phosphor, a browser-based FPS (http://www1.rasterwerks.com/game/phosphor/beta1.asp) at school and my friends recently caught on. I have 7th period free and I heard that yesterday some kids were lanning in 3rd. Gos knows how it spread over there, but someone's gonna get in trouble and I'm gonna crack up...

Besides Linerider its biggest free-period game here. Anyone else have any good, free-period games?

btw, I'm at school atm...

With as dumbed down as the education systems have become in some states I could have spent almost half my time playing computer games at school. Albeit I probably would have been playing Sim City 2000 or Civilizations. It seems to me the school system need to focus a little of there energy teaching kids to want to learn. Then agian education wasnt exactly great when I went to school. It was so bad at one point that I dropped out of highschool to join a homeschool co-op. That really ended up paying off for meimage

Agreed. I think textbooks should be thrown out the window entirely and have more hands-on learning experiences in classrooms. Its definately true that you learn more fluently when you enjoy the subject or are having more fun in general. But then again, memorizing random facts was never entertaining for me.

edit: Just to reply to the OP... When I was in highschool I was in a lot of computer oriented classes, which were all dumbed down for the computer illiterate. There was always a few of us that would get through an entire semester's worth of work in about a week, then just mess around on the computers for the rest of the term. We found a fun little multiplayer tetris game that killed a lot of time, and we figured out all the fun ways to mess with the school's networking system. I remember one class where the teacher always had what was on his computer projected onto the wall, and I would always send anonymous messages to him. Really pissed him off. After that a bunch of us would do it, and one kid got caught and was expelled. image

I agree. I graduated in 1993. I was talking to my roommates brother one time and he said the school is more like a security/daycare center. Baby mommas can drop the kids off at a daycare center and my old school now has a security center with actual police officers. Gotta love the ghetto-ing down of the community in my area. I'd like to thank all the "cool" parents for letting their kids walk all over them and tell them what to do.

Don't be terrorized! You're more likely to die of a car accident, drowning, fire, or murder! More people die every year from prescription drugs than terrorism LOL!

Back when I was in seventh grade and we had a typing class, students were allowed to just play on the internet once they beat the level five typing test (about 50 wpm)...I beat the test in two weeks and played Missile command and Oregon Trail for the rest of the year.

Your argument is like a two legged dog with an eating disorder...weak and unbalanced.

The caption is something about Discussion / Phosphor, School Addiction. It has nothing more here for people to learn what it is all about. In this matter rushessay.com can be of a great source of guidance. You can just have a look at it and get to know a lot more from here.

In every family unit, each person plays a role (or multiple roles) to help the family function better and to maintain a level of homeostasis, stability, and balance. The effects of drug addiction on family members vary, but when substance abuse is added to this dynamic mcdvoice login
