My mouse has been annoying for a while. It would make a noise like being unplugged and plugged back in, it disappears until i manually plug it in other times, or the mouse cursor jumps to a random spot. All of which are annoying when playing video games. Wasn't a real problem until recently in Wolcen.
I would also like to replace keyboard, but more for style and to get something new. Had this one forever. It has a burn CD key on it lol. This would depend on price of the mouse. I can always get the new Keyboard at another time.
Both I'd like RGB, but it isn't super important. The mouse I would like to have programmable buttons, but again not the end of the world without. Majority of my use would be video games though and I never had lighting or programmable on either. Reliable and price are the two primary. Trying to keep it under 100 CAD.
I was thinking Death Adder V2 for 90$ CAD. Not sure if anyone knows of a better one on sale?

With that said, picking a mouse is about your personal preference.
I took the Elite, I didn't realize it had 3 options on the page. $40 CAD extra for a mouse I wont use 80% of the features seems useless. Thanks for pointing that out lol
I have a Razer Death Adder and it's garbage. It's the only mouse I've ever found that can't track properly on the surface where I place my mouse. I don't know if the V2 would be totally different, as I haven't looked into it.
The price goes up very steeply as you move up the product line, and the returns definitely diminish.
Razer is - either you love them or hate them; there is no middle ground with that company. Personally I have had poor luck with them, so I don’t recommend them, but a lot of people swear by them.
There are smaller or lesser known companies that do well: SteelSeries, Red Dragon, etc.

Brenics ~ Just to point out I do believe Chris Roberts is going down as the man who cheated backers and took down crowdfunding for gaming.
Imho the issue with wireless mouses is that if you have only one mouse and it runs out of batteries you're screwed, but if you have some old mouse that you can use as a backup should you run out of batteries then wireless is just as good to use as a wired one.

Everything mentioned about battery life and signal interference and other issues still stand though. Unless you absolutely can’t do it, Wired is going to be better.
